The only way this seems true would be because season seven has probably been done filming a long time ago, and they already worked on the dvd, because of the writers strike. That also mentions a blu-ray release which will be pretty cool if its true.

Not that it matters to me, but what a mistake on their part. By the time season 8 roles around, the thing can be had for 20 bucks or less. The time to release that sucker is about a month before the next season starts so you can nail folks at full price.

I don't see them including it. It's not part of the season and that would mean less money for Fox.

The ratings are going to drop, because it will leak like all the other 24 dvd's have, and people will be so pumped to see the finale they will just watch online. I could see a month later, but a day is WAY to soon.

Why would they include Redemption? It's a 2 hour movie, I guess it could be argued it should be included but they can make more money by selling it alone. Plus the season would end up costing more because of it.

Because it's directly tied into the season. It doesn't feel complete without it.

But it is not part of the actual season. It would not make sense to include it. This is Season 7, not Redemption and Season 7.

I can see Best Buy or someplace giving Redemption away free if you buy the season on release day but I don't see it being added to the set.

Can't Redemption be had already? It doesn't make any sense to me to add it to the Season 7 set.

I know, but I think the people who wanted it already bought it. And again it would most likely be a separate disc and would cause the set to cost more money.

If you really want to get both at the same time, you could always order Season 7 from Columbia House and get Redemption for free using a B1G1.

It official, its coming out on may 19th, that is really quick and it will definately leak before the finale airs on tv.

Nice cover art but A 6 disk set means we will probably be getting the least amount of bonus material since the original version of season 1 came out.

The latest season on dvd has always gone on sale cheap a month or 2 before the new season airs. Bought every season the same way every year.

Will get this at some point. I dont know what it is about 24, but I just can't get excited for the episodes each week. It used to be that I looked forward to monday each week. Now, i don't. But when I finally get around to watching the episode, i sit there riveted, and the hour, or two, flies by. I am really enjoying this season, but I dont look forward to it anymore. Its not event tv for me anymore. that being said, I will get this. Luckily they arent saddling us with that pointless Redemption movie in the season boxset.

It say there is going to be 12 commentaries, deleted scenes, and some featurettes for the set. It just won't have a seven disc this time.
