sharky`s machine widescreen
one of my favorite burt reynolds movies is sharky`s machine. unfortunately, to my knowledge, the only available version out there is a full screen snapper dvd.
are there any plans to re-release this great action thriller?
also, why is stick still not available on dvd!?
some shit movies are getting 10 re-release versions and there are still
so many films worth being released, that are kept back!!

Yeah, I saw that too. I wanted to get Sharkys Machine on DVD.
I seen the movie a long time ago and I liked it.
But when I seen the full frame edition only I lost interest and passed it on by.
When it get's a widescreen release ( if it ever does ) then i'll pick it up.
There are a ton of DVD's that I want to get that are still not being released yet.
I agree with you.

Re: sharky`s machine widescreen
There are just a ton of catalogue titles languishing with either non-enhanced transfers or incorrect aspect ratios. This doesn't even begin to touch the many, many catalog titles that remain unreleased on DVD or BD altogether.
With the poor economy, and the wind seemingly blowing in the direction of fewer catalog titles being released, I fear that many of these will remain in the vaults for an indefinite period of time.
With Warner, though, you can never say never. They seem to be maintaining an interest in older product at a higher level than other studios. But it is very, very frustrating when some movies get re-released over and over when others can't get even one proper release.

R4 PAL Anamorphic is available.
I agree that there are too many titles that are unrelased or poorly released, and because of this, I've come to despise blu-ray and the hype surrounding such titles as The Dark Knight. If every Dark-Knight purchaser had instead purchased an old catalog title, the studios would be scrambling to open their vaults.
