From this point on, Warner intends to release all catalog BDs with Dolby TrueHD audio. (They've taken note of complaints about the lack of one on Casablanca.)
now if they'd just 187 the DNR on some titles we'd really have something here

If they go 6 months with 100% lossless then I will believe it. Until then...I remain doubtful. Summit dumped a DD5.1 track on Sex Drive BD....but it appears they have already fixed that with a DTS MA on Twilight (if specs turn out to be true).

I don't think it's a matter of telling a lie. The person who provided that information to Bill Hunt may truly believe that's the case. I just think WB, more than any other studio, seems to always have a bad case of "the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing."

This is a step in the right direction, but I'd also like to hear they're going with BD50 whenever possible unless it's a shorter film with little to no extras. Hopefully we won't see the addition of TrueHD at the expense of PQ because they keep using BD25.
Time will tell.

Re: Warner catalog BD's to have true HD audio from here on
Why are some new release films getting stuck with lossy DD when every other MAJOR* studio is making ALL of their releases now with lossless, no matter if they are catalog titles or brand new to home video? I want to know why they don't take note of the complaints we all have on this issue....
(*I added this caveat now since hearing the bad news about "Sex Drive", which is not by one of the majors, aka Disney, Fox, Sony, Paramount, Universal, or Lionsgate......)
