Ha! I just looked at IMDB for Mark Shepard, and sure enough he's on the Dollhouse this week! Too funny.... Don't know if he's playing a bad guy, but I wouldn't bet against it.

No need to spoilerize what's already aired, wirefan. The tinfoil reflector was a bit ridiculous. Just the fact that she could construct those 5tf long, fairly ridged reflectors while standing in the laser grid was quite a feat.
I think it was a great episode, if only for the last 20 minutes. But I didn't get the plot at all. From what I gathered, the plan was to sell him a fake David, let him insure it then display it for a few months and then reveal it as a fake which would make in guilty of insurance fraud, I guess.
1. I assume the insurance company would do their own verification for such an expensive, and illicitly acquired, item. Unless he skirted the rules as the insurance company's CEO I don't see how he would get into trouble for getting scammed into buying a fake.
2. Did they expect the Vatican emissary/art lending cover to hold up for a few months while he insured/displayed the fraudulent second David?
3. Parker though, and demonstrated, that they could steal/swap the first David very easily. So why didn't they just switch it out to begin with and then tip the insurance company that it was a fake? It would be a lot easier than their con job, with the only real difference being they would have the first David instead of the cash.

It was nice seeing Hutton and Matchett together again.
They have good chemsity together from their days on NERO WOLFE.

awesome episode. this show is so much fun. while it's pretty goofy at times, that's what makes it charming.
