Re: Desperate Housewives -- "In a World Where the Kings Are Employers" -- 2/15/09
Susan is insane. I can understand a mother feeling threatened by an ex-husbands love interest, however, Katherine's intentions do not seem like an evil way to get her hooks into Mike. Susan needs to make up her mind about what is realistic. She can't have it both ways. She's really annoying the hell out of me, right now.
I can't believe Tom lost his temper like he did. I can understand him getting upset at his ungrateful kids, especially the two older boys. They are obviously spoiled brats, and need to be set straight. However, Tom losing his temper the way he did was scary.
Orson was creeping me out with the way he was trying to figure out how much more Andrew made than he. He acts as if he is entitled to be making as much money as Andrew, when the fact of the matter is that he doesn't do the job the Andrew does. On top of that, it's not as if he is hurting for money. He's married to the boss! I can understand his desire to feel he is making what he is worth, but, sneaking around to get Bree's password, just to find out how much more Andrew is making is wrong. On top of that, what was up with that last scene, where he compliments Andrew, then takes Andrew's pen, sticks it into his pocket, and gives that evil smile? Is the old, evil Orson coming back?
Looks like Dave's plan is going to be set into action, with the camping trip with Mike and Katherine coming up. Should be interesting. Looks like we'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see the next episode.

Downer of an episode.
However, I loved Carlos' reactions to why he got the bonus and about becoming a godfather.

A few episodes back didn't Tom suggest selling the restaurant and Lynette freaked out? I was confused at why all of sudden she was the one who wanted to sell.
I could actually understand why Susan was upset. I don't think Katherine was being devious, but she was coming between Susan's relationship with her son. How come Susan gets home so late if she works at a school?

Another boring episode although I thought the scene of MJ asking for provolone was cute.

I'm having a hard time staying with this show. Just cam back at the start of this season but all of the wives save for Bree are just so unlikeable. Katherine I like but she doesn't get much screen time.

So I'm trying to understand how the Tom vs. Dave incident didn't spread like wildfire across Wisteria Lane. Is Mike blissfully unaware he's about to go camping with a psycho?

The characters are becoming very annoying especially Susan. She couldn't have been more out of line with the whole Mike/Katherine thing.
And about Katherine. Since her mystery ended last season, she has only been wall dressing. Give her something to do other than be Mikes girlfriend.
The Orson plotline was a snoozer too. All he had to do was have scenes where he was wondering how much Andrew was making. Is this all they can find for him to do?
A waste of two good actors.

Just caught up with the episode. That was when Tom wanted to sell the restaurant and go cross-country. That might have been before the five-year jump? not sure.
