The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. $16.99 at Costco

I just picked up The Adventures of Brisco County Jr The Complete Series at Costco for only $16.99. I missed out on the Amazon deal a while back.
Enjoy..

Also saw "Pushing Daisies" and a few others I don't remember for that price in that assortment. But "Brisco" was definitely the stand-out deal. I remember being thrilled to find it for $25 used a few years ago. It had a high MSRP back then. For $16.99, I recommend it as a great blind buy for anyone who likes Bruce Campbell, westerns, sci-fi, comedy, off-beat creativity, or any combination of those.

Do you know if Costco offers a day pass? I don't have a membership there.

I'm pretty sure that you can get a 1 day pass, but you'll have to pay an additional 5% for the product. However, you can sign up for a membership and get the set for $16.99. You can then cancel your membership and Costco will issue a full refund. Be aware that once Costco gets their hooks into you, you'll probably not choose this option.

Especially with the much cheaper gas.

Wow. I was happy to get this for $24 from DD but at $17! Everyone should pick this up. Great series and good acting. I just wish there was at least another season for a better conclusion to the series.

A very nice set for less than 20 bucks. A must get for those fellow dvdtalkers that don't already have it.

There is no one day pass for Costco.
But the membership is well worth it.

I must have been thinking of BJ's. Like I said though, Costco will give you a full refund on your membership if you're not satisfied within 364 days.

Is it comparible to Firefly in any way? What little I had seen of the show back when it was on, I don't recall anything sci-fi.

No, this show was good

It's more western with a side order of sci-fi.

And Firefly was great, so you're saying this show is worse that Firefly.

I LOVE "Firefly", but I don't think this type of comparison is all that fair. "Brisco" comes from a slightly earlier time, pre-Whedon, pre-"Lost", when great TV shows like this weren't often allowed to flourish like they should've been. But this show is worth your time, particularly for this price. The early fingerprints of "Lost" co-runner Carlton Cuse are all over this show, IMO. That's a good thing!

I can say for certain that the Costco's in Spartanburg, SC and Greenville, SC have them. I picked one up at the Spartanburg location (as well as a membership) yesterday. They also had The Sarah Connor Chronicles for $16.99 (or $18.99, I'm not sure). It was the DVD set, not the Blu-ray.
