St. Vincent (Walter Hill): Mickey Rourke as hit man
From Variety:
I'm going to assume Rourke plays the hit man. Walter Hill has been pretty much M.I.A. for the last decade or so, but hopefully the two can rekindle some of that ol' Johnny Handsome magic.
Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke will star in indie action-thriller "St. Vincent," directed by Walter Hill for Occpuant Films and Secret Handshake Entertainment......"St. Vincent," scripted by Cameron Young, centers on a hit man returning to his former New York City neighborhood to finish off the botched killing of an informant. He's then forced to masquerade as a priest and finds himself taking the confessions of his target.

They had me at "Mickey Rourke." They enslaved me on "Walter Hill." In other words, can't fuckin' wait.
And yes, Johnny Handsome is a ton of great. An incredibly underrated effort on both of their behalves.

This is great news considering these two make a great combo....
It's a shame Rourke's other hit man film "Killshot" got wasted with The Weinsteins....
Btw,Johnny Handsome is getting re-released on DVD 3-3-2009.....

Lions Gate loves to release older stuff in Full Frame....
That shouldn't stop you if that's the only version out there....

I'm sure Walter Hill didn't intend this thing to be known in Full Frame. Also whatever happened to original aspect ratios? I'm sure this thing was in widescreen when it hit theaters....

I was just thinking about Walter Hill the other day after watching Undisputed. I'll see this.

I was just going to comment on that. "I'd like to see it again"? Then what's stopping you?

In my version of Heaven, everything is OAR; the theaters are full of La-Z-Boys, and all cell phones are dutifully turned off.
