At a garage sale today, my wife and I found 24, Seasons 1-4. The guy sold them to us for only $1.25 each. $5.00. I already have season 1 and they looked to be in mint condition, so I bought them all.

Season 3 is missing the 7th disc which has bonus features. But still, great price.

I'll have to write to Fox to try and get the missing disc.

Last Summer, a friend told me about a garage sale just a mile from my house with tons of DVD's and VHS. I picked up my first(and still only) Criterion, Equinox, for $2.00 The DVD's were cheap and mint shape! Yee-ha, that was a fun day!

Nothing found at a garage sale. But about 4 years ago I was surprised that when we got rid of our Disney VHS they were selling like hotcakes at $5. I was going to get rid of them for $1 but decided to just price them at $5 and go down. Noone asked to go down on the price.

It's been a couple of years since I've even checked out a yard/garage sale, but the three finds that come to mind offhand are:

• 1978 KISS fan club belt buckle (50 cents)
• Factory sealed audio cassette of Waylon Jennings's Waylon: An Autobiography audiobook (also 50 cents)
• Planet of the Apes (2001) 2-disc SE complete with every insert and even bonus CD-ROM (circa $3)

Most the people who have garage sales around me don't really have much for dvd's and when they do it's not usually a very good price. The only good deal I ever saw I picked up which was A Few Dollars More for $3.

$3 for the 4-disc Shelley Duvall's Fairie Tale Theater box set, and then sold on Amazon for $125.

I've found a lot of great DVD deals.

$1 for the Led Zeppelin "DVD", and The Rodney Dangerfield collection.

I've found a lot of great DVDs for a buck a piece at sales.

a long time ago when dvd was still fairly new...went to moving sale where guy was selling his whole collection..he was selling all his dvds for 10 each which was good deal at the time..
I grabbed everything I could as there was mob of people. Picked up Criterions Spinal Tap and Sid and Nancy-knew Criterion from laser disc so figured they were "worth it"...held onto them for many years on my shelf-never got a round to watching them though. Sold them online .
