I had no idea this was being made. We used to play this table-top game along with Warhammer, Axis & Allies, Talisman, etc. In VG form, it reminds me a bit of EA's Mutant League series I so wish would make a comeback. It seems to have a Spring or Summer 2009 release.

And here's the full trailer:

Awesome that it also has traditional turn-based mode as well. This should be fun.

I have never played the tabletop version but this is very interesting to me. I was excited to see they will include a turn based mode since it worries me when they take the slower pace of a board game turn (that requires thought and strategy) and reduce it to who can churn out the zerglings the quickest.

Re: Games Workshop's Blood Bowl
No PS3 ?! I guess I'll have to buy it for PC, I hope the graphics requirements aren't crazy or they change their minds and release it in some way for PS3.

Re: Games Workshop's Blood Bowl
They've said that since they're a small company with no PS3 experience, it was too risky to develop it for that platform at this time. If the other versions do well enough, they'll look at expanding.
I don't know a lot about next-gen game engines, but it seems like it would be harder to port after-the-fact than develop simultaneously.
Also, I don't expect this to do well enough to make a PS3 version a reality based on what they've said.
