New Resident Evil Trilogy

Anyone bought this yet?

I was wondering if there's anything on it that's not already on the single film releases or the Resurrected Edition.

And what's the artwork like for the slimline cases inside?

I'll probably end up buying it anyway, since I think I have to own every version of RE they release.

Thanks for any info.

Re: New Resident Evil Trilogy

I'm a sucker for the RE movies - I own about 6 different versions and was tempted to get this trilogy (I love the cover )

From what I can tell, the extras included are:

Cast & Filmmakers' Commentary
12 Featurettes
Resident Evil: Apocalypse - Fangoria Clip
Visual Effects Commentary
Alternate Ending with director Paul Anderson's video introduction
Costumes
Scoring Resident Evil
Set Design
Storyboarding Resident Evil
The Creature
The Elevator
The Laser
The Train
Zombie Dogs
Easter Eggs
Camera Tests: Zombies
Zombies
Cast Commentary
Filmmaker Commentary
Writer & Producer Commentary
Unfortunately, since it has to deal with 3 movies, I cant say which features are tied to which movies (since there are multiple commentaries).

I do believe that these are all re-used features that have appeared before. I think the disc also has a "bonus sneak peek at REegeneration" (the sticker on the cover said something along those lines).

Re: New Resident Evil Trilogy

Yea, looks like all of those featurettes are from the first film.

I was kinda hoping they included the Region 4 2 Disc Limited Edition Extinction bonus features on here. Had lots of different interviews with the whole cast describing their characters and where they saw the RE franchise going in the future.

Thanks for the reply bro. I'm a sucker for these films as well.

Re: New Resident Evil Trilogy

I'm kind of biased because I'm a huge fan of the source material and that just makes these films completely unacceptable.

Mod note: I see you are kind of new around here so please take the time to read through this thread http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-talk/23...ease-read.html Your post here is a prime example of what it meant by a "threadcrap". The point of the thread is to discuss the DVDs, not necessarily the movies themselves. If you want to talk about the movies please feel free to do so in the right thread/forum.

Thanks
