Help with Advice on Ebay sale.

Ok I had an buy it now auction that sold today for over $500. The funds are pending in my paypal acct. It just was sold. Now, the buyer has NO feedback what so ever. Join date was 01/09/09. Now I had a guy once that tried to scam me by saying once he received the item I sold him, he said it was damaged. (BULLSHIT) Lucky for me ebay had cancled the auction for copyright stuff but he still wanted so paypal couldn't do a thing. I am concerned about this. Any advice?

Thanks

Larry, at one point, you were a new person making your first purchase too.

Use Paypal's shipping system, get tracking, require a signature, and you'll be fine.

Like Josh said, make sure you ship it with SIGNATURE confirmation!

Personally, I'd get insurance too.

Definatly get the insurance, it really isn't that much money for what it offers.

I totally understand your reluctance on selling big ticket items on Ebay to low/no feedback buyers anymore. That place has turned into a zoo.

In the listings, you can restrict certain buyers based on several criteria. It's at the bottom when you create your ad.

Re: Help with Advice on Ebay sale.

One thing that I can suggest is place "Serious Bidders Only" as a policy. Also, as others mentioned, take advantage of delivery and signature comfirmation (costs less that two dollars) that PayPal offers. I've been selling stuff on eBay for the past month. My main mission is to make sure my buyers are satisified.

Before I forget, track down the item you sold. You would want to make sure the buyer recieved the package.

Get the policy for a few extra dollars and save yourself the worry
