As mentioned in the other Survivor thread here is the game 16 DVDtalkers have decided to play.

Rules are simple. If you are one of the 16 players of this game you get to choose ONE Survivor contestant from the upcoming season. You follow the season and in the end there will be ONE DVDtalk Survivor. Your choice for who to follow is based soley on information you get BEFORE the season starts (Feb. 12, 2008). There are bios for all contestants on CBS.com. You can not change your pick at any time. While a simple game, it gives everyone involved someone different to root for.

Picks are on a first come first serve basis. So if you are on this coveted list, please do your due dilligence and choose a Survivor. I will update this post when all 16 particpants have chosen a Survivor to latch on to.

Also in your post mention if you would like there to be a prize for the winner of the game. Since there is 16 of us, everyone can PayPal me $1 and I can get a Survivor related prize. I'll take care of sending it out to the winner.

If you do not want there to be a prize this game is soley for bragging rights that you can throw in your signature.

If anyone fails to make a choice before the season begins then slideways gets in the game.

Since I started the game I'll make the first choice. My Survivor will be Joe. No real reason. Kind of made an educated choice at random. He looks like he'll go far.

Whether there's a prize or not doesn't matter to me, but if there is, I'd like it to be a one-year DVDTalk Premium Membership or a $20 Best Buy or Amazon GC to buy a DVD if you've already got a membership. That means we'd have to deposit $1.25 each.

Let's go with $1.25 for everyone (assuming that everyone is at least willing to pay). That is $20 and the prize will not be a Premium Membership because let's be honest, having an avatar isn't really a "prize". I'm gonna say $20 GC to Amazon.

LOL Well, it would be a prize to me because while I can't get myself to pay $20 for the Premium Membership (or even $10 when the coupon was out), I'd consider it a cool reward. :P

But a $20 GC to Amazon is always awesome, too.

I like the idea of a $20 gift card from BB. I dont need a premium membership. I havent been to the main site(or any other forum but TV) here for like 5 years. I dont even know what a premium gets you.

Yep, sorry. At least take solice in the fact that choosing a Survivor based on the limited information we have it pretty much a crapshoot anyway.

When we do this game next season we can discuss new rules and pick in a different fashion.

They're taking $0.34 out for each. Fuckers. It looks like if everyone pays it will be about $5.44 in fees. Which means it may be a $15 Amazon gift card (or I may be generous and cover the difference). Next season we'll have to bump it up to $1.50 each.
