How much Difference is there between the A/V Cables and the HDMI Cables?
I bought a 80PS3 and it is currently being shipped, however the spot it is going to is my room and it is a Standard TV with a DVD/VCR built in. It is about 30'
If I plug the PS3 in with the standard TV will I notice any difference. I know it takes a good HDTV to notice the difference but I don't have my HDTV yet. I am saving up for a huge TV in HD. I think I will be getting a 42' Sony HDTV in maybe a month but right now when I get my PS3 and plug it in with the A/V Cables...how much difference will there be?
I have bought a couple blu-ray movies before I bought the PS3 so I can see for myself soon.
Is there any amount to what makes the blu-ray superior still show through Standard TV?
Does the Audio At Least sound more real from the standard TV?
I have Sleeping Beauty and Smallville - Season 7 ready to test when I get the PS3.
I do have a HDTV but its the family HDTV so my time to use it is limited. When everyone has left the house I can sneak my PS3 in the living room and hook up the HD Cables and see the result but not till I get one of my own that will be so kick ass.

I'm sure you mean 30 inch for your TV, although you used (') which means FEET, not (") which means inches....
Anyway, hooking up a PS3 to a 30" standard def TV and watching a Blu-ray Disc will not give you much if any real visible improvement over DVD....perhaps if you know what to look for, then you may not see as many compression artifacts, but a TV of that size is really too small to make a difference....you will only get the actual benefit of Blu-ray once it is connected and viewed on an HDTV of a reasonable size....
You also will not be able to hear the higher quality audio unless you have a receiver with an HDMI input that can either decode or accept decoded HD audio formats...

Your 30-inch standard-def TV has HDMI inputs?
Really?
The biggest benefit of using HDMI is it reduces clutter... instead of up to 5 wires going from your receiver to the component you can get that down to only 1. That and uncompressed sound, but you haven't mentioned having an HDMI receiver.

Neither the TV nor the TV speakers will likely be enough for you to see the difference between HD and SD.
You'll have a few extra features available on a few movies though.

1. There is no analog down-conversion and then up-conversion from digital source to digital TV
2. Up-conversion from 480p standard def to 720p/1080i is capable through HDMI

I would say the biggest benefit of HDMI vs. anolog cables is the ability to watch HD.
