The Official Billboard Top DVD Sales Chart Thread

Introduction to the thread:

Spinning out of the thread on the Billboard Top DVD Sales of 2008 is this weekly thread. It's starting a little late, but there seemed to be enough interest in this chart to justify tracking the information throughout 2009. The data will be listed by Billboard's official chart date.

Re: The Official Billboard Top DVD Sales Chart Thread

Wall-E looks to be sustaining nicely, as TDK. Surprised to see Narnia still in the top 10 and curious as to how Wanted got back in. Must have been on sale.

Sucks that Burn After Reading dropped that much. Thanks for these stats.

Billboard Top DVD Sales Chart for Week Ending 28 February 2009

  1. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
  2. Space Buddies
  3. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa/The Penguins of Madagascar*

*Given that Billboard's charts have, to date, not distinguished editions of a title (WS, FS, 1-disc, 2-disc, etc.), I have no idea why this 2-pack would merit its own entry on this week's chart.

"Sad?" I will never grasp why so many people slam things that don't interest them. Is it any "sadder" than the four identical DVD issues of the original Star Wars trilogy? Whether anyone likes it or not, there are a lot of kids in the High School Musical demographic. Do they not deserve entertainment that resonates with them?

Wow, apperently no one on the internet has a sense of humor. Or they just like compaining when someone has a different opinion.

why does "no one on the internet have a sense of humor"?
do you get such reactions often? then maybe you should refine
your humor

First off, my not caring for your un-called-for slam of a movie hardly constitutes either "no one on the internet" having a sense of humor. Also, you simply characterized the high sales figure of High School Musical 3 as "sad." That just barely meets the definition of expressing a dissenting opinion. This thread is dedicated to the Billboard Top DVD sales chart figures; there are plenty of others in which to debate the merits and values of a particular title.

What was the reason for Wall-E jumping to number 1? Oscars?
