Re: 50 Must-See Movies in 2009
I just wanna see a list of directors that have movies coming out next year. That'll be an indicator.
The Coen Brothers?
Paul Thomas Anderson?
Danny Boyle?
David Fincher?
Steven Soderbergh?
Ridley Scott?

No year has 50 "must see" films. That would be almost one a week. And when you're including "Final Destination 4," you're really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

as for Final Destination, the first 2 films were very fun, add in 3-D and it should be a good time.

Definitely looking forward to Public Enemies, Harry Potter, The Brothers Bloom, Where The Wild Things Are, Terminator: Salvation, and perhaps some others. Hell, even Transformers 2 could be fun, even if I hate Michael Bay.
What's this Shutter Island though? Are Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese working together? I always said those two should make a movie together.

I know you just want to whore out your blog, but use the search function: Most Anticipated Release of 2009?

If you and your blog are going to have any credibility, you need to be a lot more discerning.

This has to taken as a joke. No one serious about movies is looking forward to Final Destination 4. Although My Bloody Valentine might be interesting. Must See????? No way.

Re: 50 Must-See Movies in 2009
I only put those for the 3-D aspects. People that have seen MBV said the 3-D is alot of fun, so I would be disappointed if I waited until DVD. Therefore it's a must-see for me in the theater.

If you ignore the phrase "Must-See", I think the list is decent....at least it gives me a handy guide to some of the films that are coming out this year.

Id say about 75% look forgettable at this point. The whole article was killed when it said the "disappointment of death proof." To you maybe, but i know ALOT of people thought it was better than Planet Terror, myself included. Where the Wild Things Are peaks my interest by the photo alone.

Just glancing through that list, there is one movie I will absolutely never see, EVER.
The Year One, with Jack Black, Michael Cera, and David Cross.

Star Trek, Watchmen, and Basterds are the only ones on the list I'll probably check out in a theater.
