A Monitor instead of a TV
Apologies for asking what may be a stupid question, but -
I need a display that I can hook a dvd player and a Wii into - wouldn't it be much cheaper to get a good monitor rather than a tv? It wouldn't be used for watching tv, so . . .

Re: A Monitor instead of a TV
Depends on the size you want. At 20" a monitor should be cheaper than a TV. At 30", opposite. They are fairly close in price these days. And of course, if you want 40", TV is the only choice.
I confess I do not know the Wii's capabilities. Can it output to DVI or VGA? A monitor will only offer those inputs. It would have to be HDCP compatible if the Wii uses HDMI.
