Nip/Tuck - 1/6/09 - "Ronnie Chase" (Season 5, Part Two premiere)

Spoiler:
Sean ends his relationship with Colleen Rose once and for all after the shooting, but the aftereffects linger. And Christian gets disturbing news when he lends Liz moral support during her breast cancer scare.

I'm especially excited for this second half of the season because my local area has finally gotten FX HD. Hopefully these final 8 episodes of Season Five tie up the many loose ends of the previous 14 episodes. There is certainly alot going on.

FiOS finally got FXHD too, so thrilled about that.

This, plus new Privileged and Scrubs. Gonna be a good day. Unless of course, I die.

It really stinks that we get 8 episodes and then have to wait until 2010 for season 6.

About fracking time. I'm gonna be ticked if they try to charge more than 20 bones for the season 5.5 dvd though.

It'll probably have a $29.99 price tag :\ But really, there is no point in worrying about the DVD release of this anytime soon... with the 6th season not scheduled until 2010, we wont see these on DVD until the week before.

Side note: Is anyone else as pissed as I am that they jam packed 5-discs of Season 5, Part 1, in that stupid ass packaging this time around? Why did they change it!? The first 4 sets were the perfect packaging. Now it looks stupid on the shelf. Frustration.

All I know is, Sean looked as good as dead in that last episode. How the fudge are they gonna explain that one? I guess he is laying in an operating room after all. Maybe someone comes along and fixes him real quick.

Hell, maybe the teddy bear lady fixes him, stitches him up like a stuffed animal.

I'm not a fan of the series but have to give props to the advertising leads for the show, the new ads for this uhm, second-half season (??) are catchy and make it look interesting. Nicely done .

If you read the new Entertainment Weekly, Sean is:

Spoiler:

Wheelchair bound, which doesn't make sense since his throat was slashed.

I'm pissed at that...but not half as pissed as I am that they didn't release it on blu-ray... had I known they were going to abandon that idea, I never would have bought Season 4 on blu... Warner sucks.

Very true. I still have hope that the BD will be released down the road... Who knows though.

Not surprised. WB has changed all their recent multi disc packs to that type of case. All started around when Birds of Prey and Fastlane came out.

Now any Law & Order fans out there can show extreme frustration with package designs

And then the sucky part is that they are breaking up the 19 episodes in season 6 into two parts as well: 10 in January of 2010 and 10 in January of 2011 (rumor is episode 19 will be 2+ hours).

I remember reading somewhere that when the second half of the season is released Warner Brothers will be also releasing a "Complete Fifth Season" on blu... but that was quit awhile ago.

I didn't get to see the last 5 episodes of Season 5.1, but I've caught up for the most part on what happened. Can someone tell me what happened to Eden? Did she run or get caught?

That's what it looked like... Why the hell?

Also, Christian definitely referred to Lipo as a "he", when the dog is infact, a female.

Julia has amnesia, so she doesnt remember anything about the shooting. Eden claims that Julia shot herself.

Glad we're seeing more female skin. Its usually just Christian or Sean's naked ass.
