Would someone mind picking up a few of these for me? I will cover the costs of the items and shipping and handling. I really want a few of those HD-DVD's.

Another store nowhere near me.

I feel like Charlie Brown. I just cannot find a decent HD-DVD deal! Looking for titles for 5.00 or below.

I was in two Kroger's in the Detroit area last night and passed DVD kiosks, but didn't notice any HD DVDs on either. I wasn't looking very closely, but something like that would've probably caught my attention.

Just a thought...before making a special trip to Kroger's (we hardly ever shop there unless they have a special on something specific), I decided to hit Amazon...found new copies of Unscripted for $3 + $2.98 shipping on AmazonMarketplace from a couple of sellers. That's only .50 more than I would have paid to Kroger (with nearly 10% local tax), plus I saved time & gas.
Also saw Boomtown for around $6...with the $2.98 shipping charge, it would be a little more (around $1.30 in my case... if I didn't already have it), but it might be worth it if you need to save time, gas, or frustration (if your Kroger doesn't have the display).

Where the *f* does one have a 10% local sales tax!?!

I'll check my local Kroger tomorrow. Even here in the People's Republic of Bloomington, they only fleece us for 7%. If they've got any of these titles, I'll post. I'm happy to help out.

Yep...I'm also in Tennessee. Our local sales tax is 9.75%. However, as you noted, we don't pay state income tax.

Three Kroger's in my area - not one of them has anything. Not even empty displays. Nothing but the usual $9.99 rack.

So much for Boomtown and Unscripted

I can confirm that the Ralph's in Ontario has this display. Unfortunately the selection is very limited. The HD-DVDs I saw (Balls of Fury and Chuck and Larry) were both $7.99 each and they had 2 copies of Boomtown S1 and some other random stuff. Nothing different that what was posted above.

I found a lot of what the OP posted last night. I did see a few that aren't in the OP's list:

The Breakfast Club - $3.99
Accepted - $4.99
Army of Darkness - $6.99

Louisville, KY
Hustbourne/Taylorsville Rd. - Had a few dozen, excellent selection.
Hikes Lane - Couple dozen total discs, terrible selection
Taylorsville Rd. by the Snyder - zero HD-DVDs
Hubbards Lane - zero HD-DVDs

Thanks OP!

Still none of these at the local K-Mart here.
They did have a new cardboard display last night of Sony double features for $6 each.
Here's what I can remember

Ali/The Greatest
Glory/The Patriot
Identity/??????
Muppets Take Manhattan/?????
Rugrats In Space/???????

Dammit, I should have written them down cause that's all I can remember.
They had 12 different ones though.

They had these at my Harris Teeter in Raleigh, NC. Probably had about 50 or so.

Picked up
Half Baked = $3.99
Dazed and Confused =$3.99
Animal House = $3.99
An American Werewolf In London = $3.99
Ballz of Fury = $5.99
Smokin Aces= $5.99

They also had Fast Times at Ridgemont High = $3.99, I should've picked this up.
