The Story: IT’S BAAAAAACK! And it’s going ALL THE WAY!
The ultimate smackdown brought to you by the Emmy award-winning co-creator of the hit show LOST, Damon Lindelof, and superstar artist Leinil Yu (Secret Invasion) makes its triumphant return!! The preliminaries are out of the way, and now it’s time for the battle of the century between one hirsute X-Man and one Jade Giant. It ain’t gonna end pretty.
Rated T+ …$2.99

In Stores: Mar 4, 2009

Here's hoping they finish it this time. I would think that Marvel would be smarter than to start a title of this magnitude without all of the (6) issues in the can in the first place. That said....I'm dying to read it. I loved the first two issues.

Wow. Only three years after part 2. I think I'll wait until 2014 and buy the trade.

Has it really been that long? Marvel really needs to get their shit together.

Y'know, I really did enjoy those first 2 issues, and will more than likely read this.

But I have to wonder, just how difficult it is to write a comic? I know that things happen and comics come out late, but to be 3 years late? I have to imagine Lindelof had the story worked out and just needed to put pen to paper. It's crazy. Still, it's not like I'm mad about it, and I hope it's good.

THREE YEARS?!!!? Wow I'm glad I never got this! This reminds of the Spiderman/Blackcat mini-series from several years ago. Did that ever wrap up?

Take care all!!

It did, after a three year gap.

Another incomplete mini-series (Surprise! Kevin Smith again!) is Daredevil/Bullseye - The Target. First issue came out in January 2003 ... still waiting for part 2.

One nice thing about this Ultimate title is that I was told by Marvel reps last year in San Diego that Marvel wouldn't even re-solicit it with #3 until they had EVERY issue scripted and drawn. So this is gonna be a done deal, I hope, lol.

Stop waiting. The mini was cancelled and the storyline was hacked up and incorporated into the main comic by Bendis.

It would have been REALLY funny if Marvel had raised the price to 3.99!
