Semi-finals of the Video Game Draft Tournament!

Welcome to the Semi-finals of the Video Game Draft Tournament! 16 DVDTalkers drafted 10 console or portable video games.
Round two of voting resulted in 4 teams going onto these Semi-finals. Now it is up you, the fine gamers of DVDTalk, to vote on which player has drafted the best collection.

To vote simply post in this thread telling me who you think has the best lineup. Your vote will not count unless you vote on every pair! Your vote will not count if you edit the post where you vote!

Players in the game are encouraged to vote. Optionally, they are also allowed to post to this thread telling everybody why they think you should vote for their collection. I will be giving a “prize” to the winner of this tournament.

So, let the voting begin! Voting ends on Wednesday, December 31st, at the exact time of the timestamp of this post. Match-ups will be listed in post #2.

Good luck to all the participants!

Man what tough choices. While Vryce did have what I consider a game in my all-time top 3 in Zelda, Corvin just had a better overall list in my opinion.

This is defiantly the hardest match up so far. Michael’s #1,2 and 8 picks made it very tough to vote against him. I am going to have to go with Vryce though. I am a little bitter that I lost last round with a list so similar to Michael, so I kind of want to see him loose Seriously though, Vryce has some of my favorite PSP, PS2 and SNES games, so he has the edge.

jdpatri
1. Super Metroid (SNES)
3. LittleBigPlanet (PS3)
6. Katamari Damacy (PS2)
7. Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (NES)

6. Guitar Hero 2 (PS2)
7. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii)
8. New Super Mario Bros (DS)
9. Battletoads (NES)

This one was tough for me. Jdpatri has two of my all time favorite games in Super Metroid and Katamari, but Jeremy517 has an overall stronger list to me.

If you wanted to see me loose, it would only take a few drinks.

Vryce

&

jdPatri

For me, Vryce's list demolishes Corvin's, if I was limited to one list, it would be Vryce's. Great variety and depth of gameplay. RB2 is a great choice, but only if all the DLC is included, which it wouldn't be in this case. I hope Vryce's gamer list beats Corvin's more casual list. JdPatri is a narrow choice, but I like his overall list more.

Michael Corvin vs. Vryce -- throwing a vote Vryce's way since Michael Corvin will sail all the way to the end thanks to the "OMFG RB2!!!!!!!" crowd.

jdpatri vs. Jeremy517 -- I like both collections, but Jeremy's pulls through by a hair.

Michael Corvin - The best game Vryce has is Sonic, but it's difficult to choose the best from MC's list.
Jeremy517 - Nothing on jd's list is as good as Ocarina.

Seriously. For me, Sonic is better than any one of MC's games, but MC's list is better than yours (which I'm pretty sure is what we are voting on).

Weren't you complaining about people not leaving reasons? You should be thanking me!

It was more the way you worded it that my list has nothing better then the Sonic game.

That just struck me as very odd as my list has some widely and well received games on it.

It was tough to vote against a list that had Eternal Darkness but i liked Vryce's list marginally better than Corvin's.

Vryce was the worst matchup you could have, from the three remaining, but your list is still too good. blah, blah, blah RB2.

Jeremy517
Pretty good matchup. I think I've played more games from jdpatri list, but I like more the ones I've played from Jeremy's list.
