Borders Closing - Entire Store 40% off - Sacramento, CA

Just got this in an email. Not sure why, as I live in IL, but maybe you West Coasters can use this:

Borders at:
4750 Natomas Blvd.
Sacramento, CA

Store Closing 1/3/09 - Everything in store 40% off list price (*not including gift cards, newspapers, magazines, and electronics)

I use to live in Sacramento and few other towns around their.

Natomas area has grown huge over the last 5 to 10 years.
Wouldn't surprise me if this store was built or opened in the last few years.
California is sinking..:-)

Just got a 2nd email, basically saying "Whoops! That was only supposed to go to our Sacramento area customers! We're sorry for the confusion this has caused."

Confusion? It was pretty clear. So does that mean there were people somewhere who thought EVERY store had EVERYTHING 40% off just because one store was closing?

That store was only a newsstand and not a regular bookstore.

Yes.
I cannot tell you how many phonecalls and people in person.

You might be surprised at the gasping lack of literacy amongst bookstore browsers.

^ Oh my gosh, yes. So awful. I've actually had people ask me if the books were alphabetical by title or color.
