I am waiting to buy this series mainly because of two reasons:

Do you think they will release it into a complete series set or release on blu-ray?

I think it'll definitely get a complete series release, if only to use house-styled packaging and squeak some extra sales out of the series' DVD run. Blu Ray...eh, it's not entirely unlikely, but I can't imagine it looking or sounding a whole lot better on the format.

It will probably be released in a "shoe box"

Would be cool to get a "NO MA'AM" T-Shirt in the complete series set.

How many more seasons are left? One or two more seasons? Maybe a complete series set will come packaged in a replica of Al's Dodge.

Any Blu-ray release would just be upscaled standard-def video, since that's what the show was shot on. This isn't a situation like Star Trek or Seinfeld where they can go back and do an HD master from film elements.

Re: Married With Children Season 10 - 3/17/09

There is an Autsralian dvd store that i've been to heaps of times and they sell legitmate dvds like Best Buy, Jb Hifi etc do, they're called Ezy Dvd.

Well, they have announced a march 11th release date for season 10 which isnt so far-fetched but on the same day, season 11 too. http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/804378

Can they do that? Or would they have just taken the European release of season 11, changed the audio to English (If it wasnt already) and changed the cover? I dont see how this release could be slightly legal since it hasnt been released in America yet but since the entire show has been released in Germany (I think), here we are.

Re: Married With Children Season 10 - 3/17/09

I know some of the later seasons were the worst of the run, but this season has probably 4 of my top ten MWC episodes in it.
Looking forward to it. Are they still using the stupid replacement song for the opening.

Which four episodes?

Yes, the replacement song is still there, it's the only way they can release these sets.

Re: Married With Children Season 10 - 3/17/09

I would just like to say that these episodes are freaken great and Christina Applegate looks amazing in this season. I ordered the set from amazon.ca, and i received it yesterday in australia (it shipped 5 days before the release date) which is amazing since it doesnt get released in north america until this morning. I've already watched the entire set making me one of the first people in the world to do so apart from people at sony, people with advanced copies, the cast and crew and about 60 or so thousand other people who have watched it before it hits the stores lol.

Re: Married With Children Season 10 - 3/17/09

Is it sad that I only have 2 seasons? Regardless, I am very happy that they are going to actually put all 11 seasons on DVD. After seeing all the threads about studios abandoning fans with only a few seasons of TV show 'X' and then leaving them holding the bag. No thanks to that but I see it is different with MWC so I will buy........eventually.

I only have the first 2 season, I decided to stop buying till all the seasons were out and on sale or in some special packaging. This is how i'm doing most of my TV shows now.

How Bleen was my Kelly
I can't believe its Butter
Turning Japanese(Just that opening scene with the Bundy's talking about the motor lodge)
Calender Girl.

and a honorable mention is reverend al.

The later seasons really have a special place in my heart just because i didn't start watching the show until i was a senior in High School(93-94). And while i heard of it I really hadn't seen of the earlier episodes, and in my opinion the later seasons are only really bad in comparison to the first 4 to 5 seasons, which are just really good comedy.

If Sony does release this in a Series Set, I'm sure it would just be like the Good Times, Sanford & Son, What's Happening!!, and Soap sets with that awful stacked packaging.

I'd rather have these in the thinpaks.

For me the later seasons where always better because No Ma'am was a part of the show.

I know i'm in the minority, but I perfer the later seasons (post Steve) rather then the first couple of seasons. Maybe it's just because this is when I started watching them on TV, who knows. What most people consider the "worst" episodes I consider "classics"

Still, I am very happy that this entire series will make it's way on DVD. With 11 seasons, I admit I had my doubts at first. Looks like the show's fanbase is bigger then I thought.

Re: Married With Children Season 10 - 3/17/09

The replaced theme song totally sucked out all my enthusiasm for the releases of this show. I stopped at season five... Did anyone notice, on one of the episodes- I think its season five, one where they go camping, they forgot to replace the song and "Love & Marriage" plays over the end credits?

Re: Married With Children Season 10 - 3/17/09

I still haven't bought any of the season sets waiting for the complete series set, but replacing the theme song doesn't bother me that much for MwC, because music was never really a part of the show.
