Just came back from a Suncoast / FYE and they had a big sign that said The Ultimate Oliver Stone Collection $9.99 after $20 mail in rebate. This is a 14 Disc Set that includes (Salvador / Platoon / Wall Street / Talk Radio / Born on the Fourth of July / JFK Director's Cut / The Doors / Heaven and Earth / Natural Born Killers / Nixon / U-Turn / Any Given Sunday Director's Cut). If you can find one, I hope you enjoy.

I saw that the last time I was there.

Would it be worth it just to get BotFoJ, The Doors, Heaven and Earth, Nixon and U-Turn? I already own the other ones.

I also saw the Superman Returns tin for 6.99 AR. They must have a ton of these sets. They blow out Oliver Stone every year, yet they still have more...

I actually saw the Superman Returns Lunchbox for $7.99 without any need of rebates.

Keep in mind this is an older box set, so some of the discs (The Doors) have been supplanted by newer editions, and also that the set doesn't have the bonus discs even for films that had two disc editions at the time. On the other hand, the set does contain Stone's documentaries Last Year in Viet Nam, Looking for Fidel, and Persona Non Grata, which you probably don't own.

$10 for 12 movies not that bad. I got to go check my FYE. Too bad closest one is 30 min from me.

Yes, I got this same exact set for this same exact price at this same exact store two years ago: but this set is well worth it.
The only issues with this set (some feel): the "Born on the 4th of July" in this set is the old (I believe the first) print; and "Nixon" is not anamorphic (but it is still the longer directors cut, which was just released recently).

I picked one up today. They actually had four sets on a display listed at $79.99. I noticed two sets on the very bottom of a different shelf that were actually labeled at $9.99 after rebate. Good deal, thanks to the OP for mentioning it.

Is there any way to get the rebate if you buy the set online?

At my FYE (Eureka, CA), they had the Oliver Stone boxset for $9.99, the Superman Returns "lunchboxset" for $6.99 and the Happy Feet "lunchboxset" for $6.99, all after mail-in rebates, of course (if I'm not mistaken, Superman Returns is $34.99 and Happy Feet is $29.99 before MIR).

My store had the 3 season set of Hogan Knows Best for $9.99 after a $23 mail-in rebate.

I haven't done a Fye rebate in a while, but their rebate promotions are always specific to B&M or online only. A good way to check if the promotion is valid for online purchases is to verify it thru their rebate submission website (www.fyerebates.com (http://www.fyerebates.com/promocenter/fye/promo_search.html)). Either select "FYE" for B&M or "FYE.COM" for online purchases.

Also, the rebate for this promotion (Oliver Stone) is for a $20 VISA prepaid debit card. I know some people would prefer to receive a check rather than debit cards, so I just thought I would mention that.

I was wondering if the UPC that's mentioned is the UPC sticker that FYE puts on the box set or the actual UPC that needs to be cut from the box?

Even though I haven't done a Fye rebate in 2008, I have done 20-25 of their rebates a few years ago. They do accept their yellow price sticker with the UPC code on it as proof of purchase, so no need to cut up your box.

Saw this on SlickDeals and jumped on it. But then reading the comments, there are TONS of horror stories about FYE never sending rebates. Anyone here had experience with FYE rebates - positive or negative?

I've received 75% of them quickly. The rest involve rejection letters for random incorrect reasons but a phone call always fixed the problem.

They changed the way they do things and you can't check the status by phone if you didn't put your phone number on the submission. It's not finding the rebate on their site. .Furthermore the scan I made of the receiptes, etc is so light I can't make out the promo #.I need some info to send an email.

What I'm asking is if somebody will send me a jpeg of the scan of their submission form(w/personal info blotted out) to thatsallfolks123@hotmail.com.

That would be much appreciated.

Thanks, but they are requesting a code ... Here is a quote from the email.

The promotion code is located on the rebate form and starts with 06-, 07-, or 08- followed by five numbers. 08-59664 is an example of a promotion code.

Like I said, the scan I made is too light to read clearly (I should have checked this more carefully). If someone could give me the code it would be much appreciated ... Thanks.

Additionally, this works with coupon code 5OFF35MAR23 for another $5 off $35. Due to the rebate, the Stone set counts as $29.99 toward the total.

Also, the set alone qualifies for free shipping (orders $25+).

Is FYE on a global campaign to allow everyone on the planet to affordably purchase the Oliver Stone set?!

Seriously! Did they buy a billion of these? Do they own stock in that publishing company?!

I cannot believe this is still being offered! I think I bought mine like 2 years ago!

I have one question did anybody receive their rebates ? I really want to buy this set for $10 but i don't want to end up paying $30 and not getting any rebate back.

The rebate form doesn't mention having to send in the UPC, which I assume would be on the box set. I would like to avoid having to cut up the box set if sending in the UPC isn't necessary.

It also looks like the prior rebate form didn't ask for the UPC either. Did anyone have any issues getting the rebate without sending in the UPC?

Just received an e-mail from fye.com advertising this sale again. With rebate and backstage pass, the set is $6.99. With the other online coupon codes ($5 off of $35, $10 off of $50, $15 off of $65), it might be possible to combine this with something else and get a pretty good deal.

What's this, the third or fourth year in a row this set and this deal has happened?

It's turning into a Christmas tradition!

FYI, sale price dropped by $2 to $27.99.

Since the rebate limit is (2) per household, you can pick up two copies and use the online code "5OFF50P911" for $5 off $50 purchases with free ground shipping. Final cost per copy should be about $5.50. It is even cheaper if you have a Backstage Pass.

They only had 2 at mine. The cases were broke but for $7.99 (after my 20% off for my birthday) I think I got a good deal. My backstage pass was dead and I didn't have the extra money to renew it but she still gave me the 20% off because she knew I was a regular.
