Paramount Home Entertainment have announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Primal Fear (Special Edition) on 10th March 2009. A high-profile slaying becomes the case of an ambitious attorney's career in this legal thriller based on the novel by William Diehl.

Good. Primal Fear is a great model of how to construct a screenplay, hitting the exact marks at the right time and hiding it well. I look forward to this new release.

Yeah, when every other cover out there is just a bland Photoshop mess, I think it's important to give at least a little credit to something that is an inspired Photoshop mess. Really, though, as someone who admittedly has not seen this film, I think that maybe the cover would be great without the captions on the polaroids, the red sticker at the bottom, and the quote under the title.

I went the cheap route and got the dvd for $9.99 at Best Buy. The packaging is pretty cool. The dvd comes in a clear case and is packaged inside an "evidence" zipper bag. To no one's surprise, my Best Buy didn't have it on the shelf. They received a grand total of 2 copies, both of which were on the blue shirt's little restocking cart.
