Dawn of the Dead (Blu-ray) worth the purchase?

I own the DVD uncut version of the remake Dawn of the Dead. NOT the original.
I was wandering if the remake on Blu-ray is worth the 2nd purchase for the Video/Audio quality?

Not worth it. I was not impressed with the VQ so I took it back.
And any version released in the U.S. is censored and not actually UNCUT.

I have a PS3 and DVD's look great on my Samsung HDTV

I only buy blu-ray movies that are new releases. I'm not upgrading everything in my collection unless is extremely cheap like $10 dollars or less

so keep your dvd's

Surely Anchor Bay will release a Blu-Ray version of that great 4-disc box set they put out a few years ago, with all the various cuts of the film. Why not just wait for the inevitable?

You're talking about a different "Dawn of the Dead."

I'm glad I waited to get this one on BD. I've considered getting it since it looks like a movie that would look great in HD.

He's asking the differance between the two, I think its appropriate here.

He's asking for information on the visual and audio-quality of the blu-ray. It most certainly belongs in HD Talk.

The BD can be had for under $14 on a regular basis. Worth it for fans.

I have the HD DVD, which I think has the same transfer as the Blu-ray and I have to disagree strongly with DiedLaughing. It looks much better than the DVD and maintains the oversaturated look that the movie had in the theater extremely well. I recommend it since it's not very expensive anyway.
