Who'se Jesse again? John's annoying girlfriend or Derek's annoying girlfriend?

I don't think I've ever seen improve so much in a single season. This was yet another great episode. I really love these ties to the future. I REALLY loved that scene between Jesse and Dereck when they first meet. It just shows off so much jargon and little bits and insights into how the future war with the machines are. That is quite interesting that they have the Jimmy Carter piloted by a terminator. What if it was a Jimmy Carter terminator piloting the Jimmy Carter. Hmm....

Agreed, very good episode. I don't mind at all that they aren't progressing the "main" story (if you can call it that), these last few episodes have been great.
It did sort of confuse me at the beginning, when they were jumping around to 3 different times.

I also liked that teenage girl Lauren. She accepted Sarah's story re: cyborgs from the future pretty much instantly and didn't become a whining, emo little git like John.
Is it bad to say that I see her much more as a future resistance leader than the current John Connor?

Another solid episode.
Last week we didn't have any Ellison or Derek and barely had any Sarah. Now we got Derek and Sarah, but no John and still no Ellison.

One thing I don't get is that it seems that since T2 characters seem to have a weird propensity for using small fire arms against an unstoppable machine. Granted in T2 they were shooting the T1000 while on the run and it slowed him down ever so slightly. But with the TV show they seem to want to hold their ground and fight with a handgun. How does that help? If it were me if I didn't have something that would be effective I wouldn't slow myself down by turning and shooting.
Like this eps. when dereck gives that girl a gun so she can go get some air. A hand gun? Really? Wouldn't it be better to not give her a gun so the terminator doesn't see her as a threat and will just push her aside?

Again, solid episode. Wife commented how she's enjoyed how much time they spent with the future war -- may actually get her out to see Terminator Salvation this spring! That being said, the key to this shows watchablity has been the real time they've spent developing the characters. Cameron - only a couple of lines in the show and she got the biggest laughs, again! It's not all shooting and throwing through walls (although we get a good amount of it). Plus, I REALLY think my wife empathizes with Sarah, about doing everything she can to protect her only son, who is destined for great things....

I liked Cameron's line when the guy said he kept that small 38 special in case "something like this happened" or a "bear"
Cameron replied stone faced something like "this wouldn't be enough in either case"

Yeah, this season is actually better than the first one.
I can't believe how good this show is right now. It seems the writers found a formula that works and are trying to follow it. And that works for me right now.
That formula is something like, let's show the story from different angles, different time lines and the end everything is explained. They have done a very good job there.

I really enjoyed last season. I'm really not enjoying this season. I wish I could. I don't think I've ever seen a show introduce so many new story arcs and people in a single season. If you miss a week you really have no clue what is going on - and once people are lost they leave.
I don't think I'm alone. Last night the show was behind "The Big Bang Theory", "How I Met Your Mother", "A Charlie Brown Christmas", and "Chuck". The show quickly needs to get away from the long drawn-out no action BORING story arcs and get back to what it was originally billed as.. a high action drama. We'll see if they can pull that off in the finale but if they don't I think Cameron will be spending the rest of eternity in mothballs.
I should add that I know this goes counter to what people have posted in this thread but look at the post count in here as compared to last season or even the beginning of this season. People aren't really watching it anymore. I salute you die-hard fans

Have to agree with those saying it just added to a solid season the show's been on. I really don't see the "weakness" that some say of this season, it's definitely better than Cameron doing ballet or spending forever chasing the Turk.
I really liked the "biological" angle but I may have missed whether it was because of the Rabbits or was a Machine creation, anyone know?

IIRC, the machines introduced a virus to help wipe out mankind. There was a survivor, Cindy, who possessed the cure to the virus in her blood. As such, Skynet sent back a terminator to kill her mother, preventing her birth.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification! Glad they did a Skynet bio-angle.
