If you don't mind Asian imports, you can get the complete set for $74 here

Has anyone bought that import? Just wondering how the quality is.

A friend of mine bought some imports (actually, I'm sure they were bootlegs) on eBay and his season 5 was completely messed up. Some shows were full screen, some widescreen. One episode stopped in the middle and wouldn't play any further.

I'd love to pick up the series, especially at that price, but don't want to buy garbage either.

I am not sure, though they say following at http://www.boyzdvd.com/faq.php ...

Q: Why are these DVDs so inexpensive?
A: We do not sell bootlegs, copies, unauthorized material or pirated DVDs. Our DVDs are officially authorized international releases.

I remember such international (pirated?) sets used to sell on ebay few years ago...

Gotta be a boot.

Reminds me of my South Park: The First 10 Seasons boxset. After a few episodes you can actually hear, ".....up next on Comedy Central".

Two hundred bucks for the complete series is a very reasonable price if you ask me, and when you factor in the quality of the show itself it's even better.

hopefully now they will reduce the price of the individual season sets. i don't like these full series sets that change the packaging and store the dvds in the cardboard sleeves. i tried that once with the alias set and will never do it again. plus it's just a pain (esp the sopranos set) to store on your shelves with the rest of your dvds.

Clicking on the OP's link above took me to a page titled "Affiliate Future"....?????????

Edit: (4 days later) Link has been fixed.

Considering this, but think I'll stick with the individual sets for now unless I can sell them for $30-$40 each. I've done this before with other sets (X-Files, ST: TNG) but kind of wish I'd stuck with the smaller sets (easier to handle & price on larger sets has come down in some instances). Eventually, someone may want to unload their Sopranos box at a price I can't refuse...for now, I'll hold off even though this is a good price for anyone who doesn't have it yet at

Still holding out hope for the annual Best Buy Christmas Eve HBO 50% off sale. That would take the Sopranos box down to $150.

Hear you on that man. I held off on HBO products during the DD sale gambling that BB will have the HBO sale.

Also, if you have actually seen & held the set, it is a work of art. Amazing case, artwork, and presentation of all discs in book-like format.

I can't speak for this particular set, but when I was living in South Korea a few years ago, I picked up the first few seasons of The Sopranos at E-Mart (a retailer similar to Wal-Mart) for $15.00 US each. So, it's quite possible that some Asian sets are legit at that price. But like I said, I can't speak for that set or that website.

I wish this set was out in Blu-ray -- that's the only way I could consider re-buying the season-by-season sets I have. But $200 is decent for those who don't have those -- depending on what you think about the packaging and image quality as pointed out in the review on this site.

Yes, but is effectively 192.00 at DD with Live.com cashback.

This is ANOTHER example of why I never buy large sets with the 20/25% off sale at DD. I only buy the rare items that never really go on sale. These large sets always eventually get marked way down. I expect $125 within a year or so ... and I can wait.

Saw it today at Target for $199.99. The tag said the price was good through 12/15. An alternative for those of you who don't want to risk shipping and/or have some Target gift cards.
