Name me 10 horror movies from this year I should see

I haven't really checked out any good horror movies this year. What am I missing? I saw Inside and kinda like it. Saw Strangers and absolutely hated it. Feel free to also list old movies that have been recently released on DVD.
It would also help if you tell me why you liked each movie.

edit:
I meant ones that aren't popular.... that I might not have heard of...

I've seen Cloverfield it was good
Prom Night sucked big time
I saw the Ruins and liked it
I saw the Frontier(s) it was ok but I thought it was too much like wolf creek mixed with texas chainsaw....

Someone please offer me movies that every joe blow hasn't heard of....

Let the Right One In. I haven't seen it (yet) myself, but it looks like a highly atmospheric, original horror film.

definitely The Ruins
Cloverfield
Mother of Tears (half-recommended if you are a Dario Argento fan; otherwise forget it)

The Ruins was actually pretty good - a slow-burning, growing tension kind of horror. Unfortunately, the ending doesn't quite live up to the rest of the film.

The Strangers had potential. It also started out with good tension and suspense, but it quickly devolves into just a long series of repetitive "jump" scares. I can't really recommend that one.

Cloverfield and Quarantine were ok. Mostly, though, it's been a pretty blah year for horror.

I doubt there are 10 good ones:

You've seen Inside, which I loved, but I recommend to anyone who hasn't seen.

Them/Ils is great, but is a bit more thriller than horror.

Frontier(s) is fantastic.

I really liked The Girl Next Door.

I bought it, but haven't seen it yet, but The Lost looks interesting.

Calvaire is supposed to be pretty good, but again I haven't seen it.

Really, that's all I can think of.

If you never saw Wolf Creek from a few years ago, see that.

The Signal is great. It's by three different directors, and so the film has tone-shifts whenever it moves to a new chapter but I thought it was great.

Until Let the Right One In is on DVD, that's all I've got.

Um, how about: Baby Blues, Carver (not that good, but this year has sucked for Horror flicks), The Cottage, Poultrygeist, Feast 2, Frontier(s) (I think the date on that is '07), Girl Next Door (again '07), Gutterballs (hey, I liked it!), Machine Girl (Not horror, but gory!), The Orphanage, Inside (been mentioned ad nauseam..) I named 11.. holy crap. This year sucked. EDIT: Oh yeah, Let the Right One In. Worth another mention. Terrific film.

The Signal, Funny Games, Remakes no. 340, 341 and 342, The Strangers, Red, Midnight Meat Train, Quarantine (might as well just watch [REC]), Eden Lake (not released until later this year) were all subpar.

I'm guessing you mean released on DVD this year, because of the few mentioned: Calvaire was released in '04 and The Lost in '05.

I guess we have Martyrs (not realeased until Feb. '09 but made in '08) and Tokyo Gore Police (same) to look forward too. Yay!

I agree, these were better than I expected, first was perhaps the weakest.

They weren't from 2008 though, I'm pretty sure.

Also not from this year but the best thing I've seen this year, [REC].
