W. (Oliver Stone) ON DVD 2/10/09
"Lionsgate Home Entertainment has revealed early details on DVD ($29.95) and Blu-ray ($39.99) releases of W which stars Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Banks. Each will be available to own from the 10th February. The full details have yet to be revealed I'm afraid, although extra material is said to include an audio commentary with director Oliver Stone, deleted scenes, and featurettes."
didn't catch this in theaters but I look forward to the dvd.

The film itself is pretty weak, but if the DVD has a radically different or extended cut, I might be interested. I could also be tempted to rent it for the commentary track.

Extras:
"Each will be available to own from the 10th February. Extra material will include an audio commentary with director Oliver Stone, a "Dangerous Dynasty: The Bush Presidency" featurette, a "No Stranger to Controversy: Oliver Stone's George W. Bush" featurette, and deleted scenes."

I find it interesting that the film was rated PG-13 since it's been well documented that W. has an extremely foul mouth. (when he's not around the masses)

Just finished watching this from Netflix. It was actually a really solid movie. Brolin was awesome as Dubya. However, James Cromwell was grossly miscasted as his father.
I think this movie would have worked better if it was released 5-10 years after Dubya's presidency.

^ agreed. The opening scene with the lot of them sitting around coming up with the phrase "Axis of Evil" was pretty uncomfortable. Brolin was terrific though.

I thought it was good and Brolin should have gotten an Oscar nod.
Thandie Newton playing Condi.
She was terrible.
The only special feature I saw was the Bush Dangerous Dynasty.
They should come up with a special edition and have a special name for it like they do with movies like Airplane "Don't Call Me Shirley Edition"
Any suggestions?
"The Guy you want to have a beer with" special editon or the "No WMDs directors cut?" or the "Fool me once...umm...shame on you...you ain't gonna fool me again" special edition.
