Your Top 10 Favorite Box Sets?
If you could only keep ten of your DVD box sets, which ones would you choose?
I'm sure next month I'll have to squeeze the Murnau/Borzage set in here somewhere. In order:
1. The Val Lewton Horror Collection (WB)
2. Preston Sturges: The Filmmaker Collection (Universal)
3. John Cassavetes: Five Films (Criterion)
4. Eclipse Series 3: Late Ozu (Criterion)
5. Unseen Cinema: Early American Avant-Garde Film 1894-1941 (Image)
6. Film Noir: Classics Collection (WB)
7. Sam Peckinpah's The Legendary Westerns Collection (WB)
8. Ford at Fox (20th Century Fox)
9. Naruse - Volume One (MoC)
10. George Melies: The First Wizard of Cinema 1896-1913 (Flicker Alley)
Just missed the cut:
The Office: Complete Series & the Special (BBC/WB), Gangsters Collection Vol. 1 (WB) and John Wayne/John Ford Film Collection (WB)

So hard to chose just ten. I'm glad I don't have to. Some favorites of mine:
- Buffy and Angel, the Complete Series (that's 2 different sets)
- Stargate: SG-1, the Complete Series
- The Marx Brothers (again, there are 2 different sets -- one collecting their Universal movies and one with their WB movies -- and they are both worth it)
- Alfred Hitchcock (you've got it -- 2 sets)
- The Godfather Trilogy (there's just one set here)
- The Universal Classic Monsters
- Rome Seasons 1 and 2
- If I wrap a rubber-band around all four James Bond Ultimate Collections, does it count as one boxed set?
- Both Charlie Chaplin sets are great, though since I'm way over 10 at this point, if I had to pick one, I guess I'd go with the first one.
I guess what I'm saying is that I'm glad I don't have to limit myself to 10 boxed sets.

I too would also like to count my Bond collections as one box set. Either that or The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection.
