I just spent 10 bucks on an extender/adapter for the SNES... maybe not cheaper, but still easier than opening up your SNES. I miss the days where there was just a simple external device that would allow you to play imported games... since upgrading to the PS2 and now the PS3, I haven't been able to play any of my imported Super Robot Wars PS1 games...
