Under Siege / Under Siege 2 Double Feature Question

I was about to buy this for a gift and someone at Amazon said the movies are Full Screen. Can anyone verify this?

Also, can you use boolean operators or quotes in the search function. I tried searching for this information and got responses for "siege" and "under" ... it would not let me use quotes. Just point me to where I can find the info ... that would be great!

The back of the box says 16:9 widescreen for both films. THey shouldnt be FS.

I realize that, but some reviewer at Amazon said they were indeed FS. I was wondering if anyone with a copy could verify this.

Boy, I'd be upset if they were FS.

Wow, that would suck if it was a mis label. Wouldnt surprise me though. It has happened all too many times when its FS and not WS as stated.

Warner Bros. does not usually make this mistake. In fact, I can't think of a single time this has happened with a WB title, so I'm hoping the Amazon poster was wrong.

What company was the one who makes those mistakes? Paramount? I know some titles I purchased in the past said 16x9 and turned out not to be true.

Fox loves to mislabel things as anamorphic, like The Abyss, Raising Arizona and others.

Re: Under Siege / Under Siege 2 Double Feature Question

If you go to Deep Discount you'll find that it's listed under Special Features as both widescreen and fullscreen. It could be an option when the movie starts.

The Warner's website says it's letterbox and only $7.96 for the double feature

Also, quotation marks do work in the Amazon search field. "under siege" brought up the movies.

Re: Under Siege / Under Siege 2 Double Feature Question

I finally broke down and bought it today. I just had to know. They were both anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen as advertised on the packaging, so I don't know what the Amazon poster in question was talking about.

Re: Under Siege / Under Siege 2 Double Feature Question

Warner Bros. did a label error for the double movie The Little Princess / The Secret Garden. WB released this twice. Both releases said to include both WS/FS versions of each movie. The first release was 2-disc flippers. Same as the individual releases of both. I heard they were fine.

On the second release, the cover was a little different and only had a one flipper disc. TLP on one side and TSG on the other. It didn't give you the choice of watching it WS or FS. Both movies were FS only. The cover was supposed to say both movies FS for both. I read where WB issued a phone number to get the WS movies of both.

Is this double feature a 1 or 2 disc set?

1. Like almost all of Warner's silver double feature DVDs, it is a flipper with existing disc images pressed to the two sides of the disc.
