Ginger Snaps - which dvd to get?

I'm sick and tired of the barebones edition that I have, so I did an amazon search and got those:
http://www.amazon.com/Ginger-Snaps-Emily-Perkins/dp/B0000700KP/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1226684906&sr=8-7
which I guess is that Canadian dvd that I should have got long time ago, but there's also this:
http://www.amazon.com/Ginger-Snaps-Peter-Keleghan/dp/B000A2X3U2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1226684906&sr=8-1
for which I can't find any reviews or description.

Which one should I get? Is the Canadian dvd anamorphic? Does the 2005 disc have extras?

I found this review right on the Amazon page (referring to your second link).

Great movie, bad edition, August 28, 2007
By Jenny "I make movies" (madison, WI)
The is one of the best werewolf movies I have seen. But if you want widescreen and special features you have to find a copy of the Canadian release. Which sellers on Amazon offer used copies of. This edition has a 4:3 version of the movie and no real special features.
I'd go with the Canadian version.

Ditto.
You can get it new from Amazon CA for a little cheaper than the cheapest marketplace one at Amazon USA.

I think I got mine from Thunder DVD a while back, but they don't have a store anymore.

Yes, get the Canadian one. Just don't get any of the sequels.

I bought this Trilogy a couple of years ago from Amazon.ca and I'm happy with it. It's got all 3 movies on separate discs in a digi-pack. One of them is not anamorphic widescreen, but the other 2 movies are. I think it's the third installment that's not and it was my least favorite anyway.

i thought the sequels were not that bad either fwiw. not great but not terrible. the third one is actually a prequel and was interesting and different.

I thought the sequel and prequel were perfectly fine. No, they're not as solid as the first, but they're very much worth watching IMO.

I own all three movies already and I really like the second one aswell. Third one was a major disappointment to me though.
Any of you guys with the Canadian part 1 can confirm if its anamorphic?

I really liked the second one... probably a little more than the first one. I really didn't like the third one at all.

I actually got the first one as a Christmas gift, and a surprising one at that. Usually with anything on my Christmas list, if it can't be bought at somewhere like Best Buy, I'm pretty much on my own to buy it. But my sister actually went online and ordered it from Amazon.ca. I was quite ecstatic when I opened it.

I have the Canadian release as well. I liked the sequels....but not near as much as the first film.

I pretty much only enjoyed the Sequel and Prequel because I really, really wanna bone Katherine Isabelle.

..and it's odd, but both Katherine Isabelle and Emily Perkins reunite in "Another Cinderella Story". There, I officially gave you all an excuse to watch it.

I liked their third release, Ginger Snaps Back. I enjoyed it over the Horror Challenge
I haven't seen their other movies, but I was happy with this one.

In case no one else has mentioned it, get the Canadian version.
