The problem with the hitting the reset button on Chloe knowing Clark's secret is that Clark didn't also have his dad mindwipe what Chloe knows about Oliver and the rest of the burgeoning Justice League. Ah well, these writers was just too focused on getting the Chloe/Davis melodrama underway.

Well all that hubbub just to get the Doomsday story going. I hope to hell there is a plan in place to nicely wrap everything up by the end of the season/series. This reset button on Chloe certainly is a small step in the right direction in terms of ending with the proper Superman lore. Does this mean another visit from James Marsters may be in the works?

That could be. Isn't Jimmy Olsen single in the comics? Not a huge deal, but I wouldn't be surprised to see her die before its all over. And more Lana next week

I guess I'm in the minority because I thought the episode was great, it really reminded me of one of those filler s1-s4 episodes. I also really liked the preview for next weeks episode (fingers crossed that Doomsday rips Lanas head off).

I wouldn't be suprised if Brainniac uses the mindwipe to his advantage and this all gets reversed in an episode or two.
Although I doubt it'll ever happen, I hope Doomsday rips Lana in two. Preferably after she tries to do her lame-o kung fu schtick on Doomsday in order to protect Chloe. That should get Clark's missing pair to drop and lead us into a (hopefully) epic battle with Doomsday.

Yeah, they seem to have gotten his look down. Not quite sure of the scale, though...

Next weeks episode looks like it could be in the top 5 smalliville episodes of all time. Sometimes, I think they throw in a shitty episode like this weeks to really make the good ones great.

I enjoyed the episode but felt cheated that they took Chloe's memory of Clark's Superpowers away from her. (Shades of Donna from Doctor Who).
I loved Chloe helping out Clark and the other Superfriends. I am going to miss that now.

Slowly catching up.
I too am sad to see Chloe's memories go. It didn't dawn on me until the end about the Doomsday connection (between the shot and Clark's conversation at the end - so I did beat the episode to it). However, I'm sad if we've come to the end of our Chloe/Clark relationship. It really has been the best and most developed aspect of the show over the years.
I was expecting Marsters to walk out at the Planet, so I was surprised to see Davis.
I'll agree some of this felt like an old episode, but I think that was mostly to looking back/references to the old Clark/Chloe relationship.
I will say I am torn on Clark's decision. On the one hand I feel like Clark has matured a lot over the past few seasons, but at the same time I feel like he's being his own stuborn self. How much longer do we have to watch him act like the old Clark and have his friends tell him over and over he worries too much. Heck, Chloe was about two lines short of saying, "If I die now I've lived a fuller life than if I die at 80 without knowing your secret."
