True Blood - "I Don't Wanna Know" - 11/09/08

"I Don't Wanna Know"
Spoiler:
Caught in a compromising position, Sam shares a secret with an incredulous Sookie. Thinking she's been purged of her demon, Tara celebrates with Lettie Mae--but goes off the deep end when she uncovers Miss Jeanette's true intentions. Sookie has a disturbing revelation during Arlene and Rene's engagement party at Merlotte's; Jason and Amy debate what to do with Eddie; and Tara speeds into a bizarre roadside encounter that lands her in jail. At a vampire tribunal to decide his fate, Bill faces a harsh penalty for his offense, but the magister decides on a more creative sentence involving a young human named Jessica.

After tonight only two left in the season.

I am finally caught up! This show is so damn addicting. I did an eight episode marathon over this weekend and can't wait. I also can't believe there's only three episodes left.

wow, thats impressive. Also due to the cliffhanger nature, you want to watch the next episode imediatly.

I know. I'm gonna be pissed that I have to wait a whole week after tonight.

I also think that is why I appreciated Damages more because I watched all 13 episodes in a marathon.

Plus, HBO has already ordered a second season, and that's really all that's important.

Cool deal, was just curious, this show more than most seems to have gained a lot of steam during its run.

if each season follows the books, they will have 8 seasons, and its already set to air in summer 09 (the next season)

Easily the best of the season and yet it really sucks that there's only two episodes left because of all the conclusions that started to culminate tonight.

Book 9 comes out in May. There's no telling how long the book series will go.

interesting note, according to the credits, the wondering woman that Tara nearly runs over was Michelle Forbes of 24 and Kalifornia fame

I thought that looked like her. She will always be Ensign Ro to me.

That had me rolling

I really liked seeing the whole "vampire trial" parts.

Wish they would of shown more of it.

That and Tara's comment about her spitting in her hand. Can't remember exact words but HA.

Apparently the vampire trial stuff is added to the series and wasn't in the books. I could have done without it. For me it's just really cheesy and overdone. Everyone with their fangs out and hissing like cats. dumb. All the other cheese in the series is awesome.

This show is turning out so much better than I though it would.

I thought the flashback to how Sam was abandoned by his adoptive family was one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

I might have missed something, but why did Tara seemingly do a 180? After the "exorcism", she ran to her momma and said how she was better, but then in the next scene she was yelling at that woman for taking advantage of her. I was confused how she seemed to go from totally believing in it to thinking it was a fake?

Because the lady told her it was fake.

But she went after the lady first, before she got her to admit it was a fake. That is what confused me, because she seemed to believe in at first before she went marching in to the pharmacy. As soon as she recognized her, she started demanding that the lady admit it was a fake.

Maybe because when she was playing the part she walked with a cane & said she lived in the country and didn't associate with humanity? Then there she is on top of a ladder working in a pharmacy with a fake wig on?

Yeah, the exorcism was basically a placebo effect. Her anger probably came rushing back the second she saw she was a fake

Yeah, that's true. I was just confused at how Tara marched in there all angry before she even saw the lady and realized she was a fake. But maybe that was just Tara acting like Tara.

This show is definitely Rookie of the Year IMO. No other first year show has grabbed me by the balls and made watch like this show has, other than say "Privileged" (which is more of a guilty pleasure). I usually watch this while it's airing. I don't do that with ANYTHING.

..and I clapped when Sookie said "Shut the fuck up". Second week in a row, the cold open was dripping with awesomeness.
