I was reading on TVguide.com that they did not have enough stories for Kara and therefore let her go as a regular.
I thought she would have been great with the Justice League.

Good and bad all in the same episode.
Tess Mercer rocks. It was very hard to replace Lex, and I had little faith in this show without one of the greatest comic book villains of all time. But having Tess is great, a most excellent replacement to Lex.

Maybe it was just the poor quality of last season but I'm really enjoying where this season is heading. It of course helps that Clark and Lois are getting so much screen time.

Ok , and mind you I haven't watch this ep yet and I'm behind on my Superman Comic reading...
Based on this comment about DC approvals/Doomsday, and something I saw in an issue of Final Crisis with Martin Manhunter recounting his history where apparently he spent a summer as a Black farmhand on the Kent farm in Kansas, I was wondering if they're now changing things so that the comics and Smallville are closer in terms of history?
I never liked the MM aspect of Smallville because I was never aware of any history between MM, Jor-El, and young Kal-El. So when I read that I wondered if DC was trying to sync up things.

I really liked this episode and this is my favorite season. The new show runners have done a great job at translating the mythos for the small screen. Smallville has once again become a show I look forward too and that hasn't happened since the first season.

Another good epsiode.
A lot of hot this season too.
I had forgotten about Davis, but I like how they're adding in the Zod's son angle. Original and it fits nicely.
