30 Rock -- "Believe In The Stars" -- 11/06/08

"Believe In The Stars"
Spoiler:
Liz flies to Chicago to get out of jury duty and on her return flight ends up with an assigned seat next to Oprah. Liz jumps at the opportunity to share a few problems with the talk show host for advice. While Liz is away, Tracy and Jenna's feud continues leading to a wacky "social experiment" to prove whose argument is right. Meanwhile, Jack's morality is tested by Kenneth after an Olympics snafu.

Am I crazy to say that this show is one of the best TV comedies of all time? So many great laughs this week, but none better than
Spoiler:
Jenna singing "Ease on down the road"

Olympic tetherball, synchronized running, octuples tennis! this show cements in me that it is now the best on tv each and every week. love it!

i guess Oprah didn't mind being sort of mocked depicted as a very chubby 12 year-old.

"I watched Boston Legal 9 times before I realized it wasn't a new Star Trek."
"We can't be president, we can't be network news anchors, Madonna's arms look crazy"

She sounds like Kristen Wiig as Leia.

Great episode, I loved the explaination on how Jack found his assistant.

Great use of Oprah, I didn't see that coming.

Tina Fey certainly earned her next comedy Emmy with this one.

"Is Spongebob Squarepants supposed to be terrifying?"

This show just keeps getting better and better. Any idea how this did ratings-wise? I'm curious if the numbers were even close to last week's.

4.6/7, Office had a 4.7/7, so it's holding most of the audience.

The site I looked at had ratings from last year too: 4.9/7 for Office and 4.1/6 for 30 Rock.

At least it's gaining a bigger audience.

Tracy in the ballpit at Chuck E. Cheese had me

Liked the side effects too. May cause dizziness, sexual nightmares and sleep crime.

I love how there's a story actually taking place that leads to a conclusion (instead of just some random events put together). Jack giving Kenneth the large-screen TV was an absolutely perfect payoff to destroy his "aww-shucks" goodness!
