DVD Talk review of 'On Trial: Lee Harvey Oswald (2-Disc Special Edition)'
I read Paul Mavis's DVD review of On Trial: Lee Harvey Oswald (2-Disc Special Edition) at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=35208 and...
I have wanted to see this for years. I'm delighted it has finally been released on DVD.
I disagree with some of the reviewer's assessments of the historical facts (particularly about the "magic bullet") but mostly I just want to see this.
I agree that it would have been good to have some extras given that we know more now than we did 22 years ago. It would have been great to have interviews with Bugliosi and Spence for example, especially since Bugliosi last year published what I consider to be the definitive book on the assassination, Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

But again, as I said in the review, my view on that is unscientific -- I'm no expert on the assassination.
(plus, I don't want to start a whole big Magilla about this, either )

Thanks for writing. Not to put too fine a point on it, but the one or two assessments I made in the review were on the "theories" in the case, not "facts." Calling the magic bullet theory a "historical fact," is debatable.

I can agree that the "magic bullet" is a theory but I think it's a much better established theory than most people realize.
As I said, mostly I'm just happy that I can finally see the program. Thanks for the review and for bringing this release to my attention.
