Whatever happened to all the morning workout shows?

There used to be all kinds of workout/aerobics shows on in the morning, like Denise Austin and that Jake guy. Now I can't find any of them. I've tried searching tvguide.com and yahoo.com but can't find any.

Not needed any more, since everyone in the U.S. is now trim, fit and healthy.

Do you have FitTV? There's plenty on that channel in the morning.

I think ESPN 2 or ESPN Classics still shows some of those workout programs at 5AM.

I've caught Kianna's Flex Appeal on ESPN Classic around 7AM on weekday mornings. I still remember when she was a secondary exerciser on Bodyshaping with Cory Everson.

I haven't seen any on ESPN2. I'm usually up at 5. They took ESPN Classic off our cable package. And I don't get FitTV. Looks like I'll have to pick up some dvds.

Gilad. I remember Gilad. I liked Gilad. Bring back Gilad. Nothing got me pumped like Gilad. I had a hard time keeping it down though when working out. I miss Gilad. I'd go gay for Gilad. I want Gilad. Gilad DVDs here I come.

I think my favorite from the 90's was Deprise Brescia.

What? Priscilla Patrick's therapeutic yoga on PBS isn't good enough for you?

Wow. I used to get annoyed by those but now I kinda miss them!

Yeah, I used to work out to Gilad all the time. The aerobics were kind of strange though. I saw him lately about a year ago (maybe FitTV) and all the routines looked the same. All you need to do is buy a videotape from his 90's shows.

I'm sure ratings for workout shows aren't the highest--especially compared to running alternate programming. I can see why networks might ditch them. But FitTV is the way to go otherwise.
