Don Logan vs. The Joker

I, like most people loved Ledger's Joker, but honestly, why isn't there more said about Ben Kingsley's Don Logan? It's one of the most psychotic performances I've ever seen and Kingsley showed he may have the most range of any living actor.

For those who have never seen Sexy Beast.
Language NSFW in all of these clips.

By far, the most brilliant scene in the whole film.

Ben did a god job with this character....but to be honest he is waaaayyyyy over rated and these days is just a money whore. This to me is his only decent performance. He was ok in Sneakers...but did a terrible accent in it. The guy is just in love with himself and thinks he is the bees knees. I remember seeing him on Inside the Actors Studio and boy was he up his own arse. He can shove the "Sir" and his Oscar where the sun don't shine for all i care. Heath wins hand down for being a guy who did an incredible acting job and for not being a pretentious arsehole.

I was more afraid of Don Logan than I was of the Joker while I was watching their respective movies.

Dan Logan was just Kingsley rehashing his role from Gandhi, very disappointing.

Because he got up in the Queen's face and kept going "YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!" until she gave in.

Eeeerrrrrrr......Don Logan.....Sexy Beast. Check the thread again. Its his only good performance, Gandhi was a boring piece of crap. Bugsy...another bad accent. Schindlers List.....never appreciated the film. Ralph Fienes and Neeson were the best things about it. Sand and Fog.....a cardboard performance. Lucky Number Slevin......he just irritates me. I have seen him in a lot more movies than this and the guy is just over rated. I notice that you didn't put down The Love Guru, Bloodrayne, Thunderbirds, Slipstream or A Sound of Thunder. Get back to me once you have seen those movies and try telling me he is a good actor. I rest my case.

I've gotta agree that, aside from Gandhi (which is good, if not somewhat boring), Kingsley is mostly overrated. I thought he was great in Schindler's List, but some of his recent work (like Lucky # Slevin) wasn't so hot.

That being said, I think Don Logan is one of the most insanely vicious characters I've seen on screen in a long time. He would certainly give the Joker a run for his money. Not sure who I could see coming out on top, but I'll give the edge to the Joker, but it's a tough call.
