So, Mark Wahlberg is gonna "break" Andy Samberg's nose for that skit on SNL...

From USA Today:

David Letterman may have ended his feud with John McCain, but Mark Wahlberg says he's ready to beat up Andy Samberg. And he might just do it this weekend. Why? He's still mad about the recent SNL skit featuring Samberg as Wahlberg talking to animals.

On last night's Jimmy Kimmel show, Wahlberg said, "When I see that kid, I'm going to crack that big (expletive) nose of his. Then I'm going to tell him, 'Say hi to your mother for me.' ... I'm going to go down to 30 Rock (where the SNL studios are) and I'm going to slap him in the nose.

And then there's this clip from his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel:

Sounds like the guy can't take a joke.

He's joking, I hope people aren't pathetic to not see he said it in jest.

Why is he mad at the skit? It's funny because it looks/sounds like him. It's Wahlberg's fault for looking/sounding like that.

I don't think it's anti-semitic to say someone has a "big nose" when they have, in actual fact, a big nose.

It's all about context. While he was saying it he was also clutching a bag of coins and getting verklempt.

To me it seemed like he was saying it in jest, but he should have done a better job conveying it, as he came off like a jerk. At least he said for Kimmel to say hello to his mother for him.

I expect him to show up on SNL this weekend.

Personally, I think it can be taken in different ways.

And I know we shouldn't trust EVERYTHING that's printed in the media, but I think the dude is genuinely pissed.

Not the most important news story ever, but I thought it was worth a mention.

"Hey, I'm Max Payne. Yeah you know me."

He's joking. I'm sure he'll show up on SNL on Saturday. I hope Samberg does another Wahlberg skit. Me and roommates are still using that skit in everyday conversation.

Marky Mark has a rep for not being able to take a joke well. Remember that time on TRL when Eminem made fun of him? He was pissed then too.

Whatever. Slow news day obviously.

I thought the skit was hilarious because it was so ridiculous. If Wahlberg is actually serious he needs to lighten up. I'd love to see a skit with both he and Samberg talking to animals.

I think everybody was instructed not to call him Marky Mark or talk about his career as a rapper or something to that extent. Eminem said something along the lines of "Aren't we just one big funky bunch."

How is it not obvious that Wahlberg is completely not serious about this?? The half-smile and tone of his voice on Kimmel should be an easy tell.

How could anyone think Wahlberg was serious when he said that?

Tell that to USA Today. They're the ones from whom I got the story and they're buyin' it.

....which is not to say that I TRUST everything I read in the papers.

But watching that Kimmel clip and his body language looks like he means to punch the shit out the guy....Wahlberg looking down at his tie, his insulting Samberg's career....

But anyway. We'll see who gets the last laugh this weekend now, won't we?

I hope they find something better to do with the Wahlberg impression. They need something like Celebrity Jeopardy they can use for these purposes.

It's beyond clear that the Kimmel thing was a bit. When celebrities are really pissed, they *might* talk about it on a show. They're not going to stand for a clip to be played, though. That's the most obvious tell if you ask me. I think it's clear Wahlberg is riffing on his surly rep for humorous effect, and I bet he will be on SNL before the year is out.

Dude, Mark Wahlberg once gouged out the eyes of a liquor store clerk with a meat hook. Beating some SNL comedian's ass is nothing for him.

He also starred in The Happening. Mark Wahlberg deserves to be punched in the face for THAT piece of garbage.

Didn't Pesci and DeNiro show up on a skit on SNL and beat up Jim Breur with a bat. Obviously it was a part of the show but they should do something like that again.
