Who are your favorite "bad actors"

Who are those bad actors that you still like or love?

For me its Keanu Reeves. I know the guy will never get an award for acting, but his movies are always enjoyable. Bill and Ted, Parenthood, Point Break, Matrix, Constantine....love them all.

Any others that you know arent really good actors but you still enjoy them?

Matt Dillon. Not much of an actor, but he usually picks edgy, challenging roles. Same for Brad Pitt - he picks his material well, but he has little range.

Bronson, bad?

My vote goes to Nic Cage. Even when he's bad he's fun to watch.

Lately, I'm starting to believe bad acting is only actors who don't seem to be trying.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Brenden Fraiser. He's pretty terrible in almost everything and usually picks really crapppy movies -- still for whatever reason, I think he's a pretty likable guy.

He's one of my least favorite actors. What movie is he not "Morgan Freeman" in? The guy is a super-cool, likeable dude. But that is who he is in every movie, I never see him as a character, he doesn't even act like the characters he plays, he seems to be just himself in every movie he is in. It's why he has been one of my only huge gripes in the new Batman movies. For someone who is so heralded as a great actor, IMO he is a bad actor b/c he has zero range. Robin Hood, Shawshank, Batman, Seven, Bruce Almighty, Danny the Dog, I can go on & on, he is just Morgan Freeman in every one of those movies, context is different, but the performance is the same.

Of coarse, I do realize everyone here will disagree with me.

I know what you are saying, but this can be such an odd area. Would you also consider Cary Grant, James Stewart, John Wayne to be bad actors? Because I would argue that all of those actors pretty much played versions of themselves throughout their careers. I wouldn't consider them bad actors, though. In fact, I would say that a couple of those are among my favorite actors.

good choices with Tom Cruise, Nicolas Cage, Sean Connery, Samuel L Jackson and of course Al Pacino, I would also Mel Gibson... though I wouldn't say any of them are bad actors, maybe 'glorious' is a better word, taking bad to an artform, it is a fine line between bad and brilliant, Pacino in Scarface for example is both
