The Stanley Kubrick Archives (Taschen 25th Anniversary Edition)

Taschen has reprinted the Stanley Kubrick Archives book under their banner of 25th Anniversary Edition (no not of this book but I believe of them doing books of this kind)

this is now in stock at Amazon and shipping
I received mine today
what a steal at just over $44

I must admit I was a bit scared as I flipped through the book with so much of the beginning of it front loaded with only images from the films (many of which seemed soft... yes I am spoiled now by BD) but I breathed a sigh of relief when I got to the text and there is a huge amount of material to dive into that follows.

I can't wait to spend some time reading through this.

This version does not include the interview cd or the film strip that the first pressing had. Page count is the same but new pressing is slightly smaller in size (12.9 x 9.6" vs. 16.2 x 11.8") I have no issue with any of the changes especially at this price.

Yeah you are going to enjoy that book! I have the original Kubrick and the original Some Like it Hot. I noticed they have a Bergman out now too. I'd love to get it but will likely wait for the lower priced version.

Thanks for the notice - I've been wanting the book, but not wanting to pay the price that the OOP edition was fetching. Ordered one of the reprints.

Does anyone know where I can get a first print copy?

I bidded on a copy a couple months ago -- and was outbid... There are a couple copies online (ebay) for $600. I feel that is too much.

I am willing to pay $250 - $300 range.
