(DEAD) The Flash: The Complete Series $15.99 @ Amazon.com

I recall this set was even a little cheaper at one point earlier in the year. Regardless, it's currently $15.99 at Amazon.com. I can't tell if it's part of any special sale going on now. Perhaps just a random price drop? Of course, that price might jump up at any point so you might want to act quickly...this deal could be gone in a flash. Still $40+ everywhere else from what I can see.

The Flash $15.99 link

Just recently got it for 19.99 at F.Y.E. seems like it took forever to drop, but it finally did.

I just opened mine from the DD sale. Good to know the replacement disc program is still active. Still waiting on it though.

What exactly is the issue with this set? I picked it up for cheap several months ago but haven't made it past the first disc yet. Is there a defect I should know about? Thanks!

The end of the pilot, the first pressing freezes up approx 90 mins into it, in some players.

It WAS right. I had gone to the link and it was $15.99 - from amazon, not private sellers. Looks like the sale on it must have just ended.

Yes, it was that price on Amazon but I didn't purchase it.

That statement turned out rather prophetic. Sorry more folks couldn't get in on this one.

Can anybody help me with this?

I was on Amazon, and noticed that The Flash had again been listed as $15.99. I added it to the cart, along with another DVD, and upon reaching what I believe would have been the final screen, I instead got this error message;

Important Message
We're sorry. The item The Flash - The Complete Series is no longer available from the seller you selected. We've moved it to the Saved Items section of your Shopping Cart. To see if it's available from another seller, click here to return to the item's product detail page.

What are the chances that by leaving it in my cart with the $15.99 price that I will be contacted once it becomes available again? I haven't ordered through Amazon too often, so I'm kind of at a loss.

Thanks in advance for any help you may offer!

I'd just keep on checking back. I just picked up the Flash at Amazon for $15.99, using the link provided on this thread, I ordered it at 2 am, October 8, 2008 (couldn't sleep). So it is back in stock. Just keep on checking. Yes the deal is alive again, first come, first served.

I bought it at Amazon for $23.99 earlier this year

it was among one of a 100 items in my cart that fluctuate in price so when it dropped I bought it

I don't think you can find it at any Northern CA Best Buy store probably since it was not a popular show.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I guess persistance pays off.

I've always been tempted by this set, but never willing to pony up more than $20 on it. Thanks for being the first to post this sale, cardsfan111!

I just one-clicked it for $15.99, though it's saying a delivery estimate of 10/16, even though I'm a Prime member.

I've been on the fence about this set. I enjoyed the series when originally aired and for $15.99 it would definitely be cheap enough. However, the reviews of the video quality aren't good and then there is the freezing issue on the first disk.

Anyone who just ordered it, could you provide a review of the video quality once you receive it and what size screen you watch on.
