It's pretty funny to see the cumulative on Dark Knight against everything else.

Igor is a C-list CG flick (Stuff like Happily N'Ever After, Space Chimps, etc; around $30m budget in todays market) so I think it'll do alright in the long run.

What the hell was in Righteous Kill that made it cost $60 million to make?

That's too bad Ghost Town didn't make a bigger impact. Even though the trailer made it look awful, it was actually one of the better movies I've seen this year. A nice surprise.

Ah, the Fall doldrums. Almost as bad a time as February for going to the movies. The only thing I saw was Appaloosa and, even though it's only in limited until 10/3, it did quite well with about $18K per theater average.

The only redeeming film for the rest of the year is Quantum of Solace.

Without fail, Bond is the reason I look forward to November every two years.

yet from what I've been reading from varying critic's perspectives is that the money should have gone to better writers and worthwhile story.

Yeah, but which what puts more butts on the seats, David Simon's name buried at the bottom of the poster or PACHINO DENIRO at the top?

Maybe i'm mistaken, but while Pacino/DeNiro are A Class actors, their movies rarely light the box office on fire. How much were they paid for the movie?

They may not be Will Smith or Tom Hanks box-office wise, but they're the definition of A-List stars.
