Igor is a C-list CG flick (Stuff like Happily N'Ever After, Space Chimps, etc; around $30m budget in todays market) so I think it'll do alright in the long run.

What the hell was in Righteous Kill that made it cost $60 million to make?

That's too bad Ghost Town didn't make a bigger impact. Even though the trailer made it look awful, it was actually one of the better movies I've seen this year. A nice surprise.

Ah, the Fall doldrums. Almost as bad a time as February for going to the movies. The only thing I saw was Appaloosa and, even though it's only in limited until 10/3, it did quite well with about $18K per theater average.

yet from what I've been reading from varying critic's perspectives is that the money should have gone to better writers and worthwhile story.

Maybe i'm mistaken, but while Pacino/DeNiro are A Class actors, their movies rarely light the box office on fire. How much were they paid for the movie?

I finally went to see the House Bunny this weekend, very cute and funny flick, I will gladly buy it on bluray.
