Question about Kubrick's "The Killing"
I've seen this film several times before, but this was the first time I really thought about this.

Definitely my favorite Kubrick film, other than Dr. Strangelove. I just love Timothy Carey, he steals every film he appears in with his unusual line readings and general oddball demeanor. The moment in the film when he reaches out, both absently and somewhat lovingly, and touches Sterling Hayden's tie is such a strange, though utterly naturalistic gesture. A true original of the silver screen.
To Timothy Agoglia Carey!

I just watched Carey in my film class last night in Paths of Glory (excellent film, btw). I'm going to try to remember to DVR Greatest Sinner tonight. That guy is a scene stealer.

Like he has the Marlon Brando, James Dean magic.

I unfortunately missed the TCM showing of The World's Greatest Sinner.
It looks like I am going to have to wait until next April before TCM replays it.
This is truly a lost film, and I've been waiting years to see it.
