Hole in the Wall - New Fox Game Show

Anyone else watching this on Fox right now (8:00 pm?) It's a remake of a Japanese game show. A wall comes towards a group of people with holes in it, and the people have to contort themselves to the hole, else they get dunked in a tub of water.

Unintentional humor: The announcer says "Gentlemen, it's time to face... the hole."

I'll be surprised if it lasts more than two weeks.

This is just horrible.

As a single event in some other thing, it's okay, but this is bad. And the announcer guy is just plain annoying.

I watched five minutes and barely had enough brain power left to switch back to football.

What the hell was that?
This is the show that's going to follow Fringe?
What do you want to bet that this show gets Idol-like ratings, while Fringe flounders at 3 mil viewers a week?

Well, if ABC hadn't canceled Miss/Guided, she wouldn't have had to take this job.

I didn't watch the whole show, but what was the final score of tonights show? It was 1-0 by the first commercial break and I doubt it will keep people interest if it's a low scoring game show.

Oh yeah, forgot she was in that too. This is definitely a step down from her acting gigs. And why was she screaming so much?

I watched an episode of the Japanese version several months ago online and thought it was a little amusing. Not amusing enough for an American version though. . .

These people are either idiots, or it must be a rule that you have to try to conform to the shape. There were plenty where you could probably just turn sideways and stand still and make it through.

We liked it, at least enough to give a few episodes a try.

Oh wow...I didnt realize this was the same girl that played the hot teacher on Miss Guided. She was smokin hot in that...now shes just...ehhh...not nearly hot enough to make up for how dumb she is. And the announcer everytime saying "Prepare for the hole" or whatever, wow.

I saw clips of the Japanese show on Youtube awhile back and it was hilarious...probably because it was all action and no talk, and I couldnt understand anything they were saying. Watching it full length and Americanized just ruins it.

I had to see it to believe it when I saw the promos, but sure enough, this actually exists. I must admit - while all the pomp (Brooke Burns, the announcer, etc) is ridiculous, the actual challenge is pretty damn amusing.

I had seen the original here and there.

After watching this version, and fast-forwarding through most of it, I've had my fill.

It was entertaining for a little while, but I don't think I'll watch it again.

I got my fill on the various YouTube videos that circulated some time ago of the Japanese version.

I tuned in more for the trainwreck value than for anything else. I switched it off after they did the challenge where there was just a small circle at the bottom of the wall and the only way to get through was for the 3 guys to lie on top of each other. The announcer spent the next minute or so making a bunch of gay jokes and I just lost interest.

WOW was this BAD!!

I did laugh the first couple of times - but that wore off with all the "whooo" "yeah" and fake excitement in between stunts.

I expect this show on Sunday morning as a filler show.

I just watched clips of the Fox version on YouTube... I don't get it...Why do they hire so many fat people? I get it, they won't be able to fit through the smaller shapes...kind of takes away the fun if I know that they don't even stand a chance. I watched clips of the Japanese version and while it's stupid, it was at least fun to watch. The Fox version just seems stupid and not fun.

not to mention that it looks like they're using hole sizes that would only work on the japanese show. In so many of the cases last night, the guys were simply too tall to really fit (their legs were too long for most of the shapes).

It seemed to move by fast, but still quickly lost steam. Which makes it even more surprising that they're going to do a full hour of the show on Thursday.
