I'd try the WB Store with the 30% coupon for that title: $55.97 (plus tax in some states) after discount.

Thanks for pointing that out, I was hoping they'd have an exclusive this year. I just preordered one, of course with shipping and taxes it was up to $38, but still a good deal. You can't really make it out but I believe the shirt is the one they made in the Fun Run episode.

Was at a couple BBs out of state earlier in the week where I noticed the remastered Star Trek S2 set was *stickered* at $67.49.
Show up this morning at my local BB and find the list price is now considered the 'regular' price meaning on sale the set is now $75.
cute.

My Best Buy still had the He-Man (new series) exclusives (box set cover on Vol. 1, lithograph on Vol. 2, and comic book on Vol. 3) and picked them all up for $13.49 each.

This sale is VERY good. I checked every title against DVDPricesearch.com and BB came out the lowest. In addition I can do store pickup all the way out till the end of October. Scrubs S7 which shows up in November was not available for store pickup but a GREAT price. Anyone know how long this sale goes on for? And comparing it to Warners is ok but these titles span many studios...

According to in-store material, until Saturday. I've got 8 TV sets in my cart and I'm debating whether or not to pull the trigger on them.

I have Cheers 10, How I Met Your Mother 3, Simpsons 11, My Name is Earl 3,
Medium 4, Samantha and Grey's 4. I checked the prices against all the main stores. Pull the trigger, I did....and use rewardzone coupons if you have em

I completely forgot about How I Met Your Mother S3! It doesn't come out for over a month though. I think I'm going to wait it out and see if it gets cheaper in the next month. I don't really have the change to get it anyway.

I hope I don't regret that.

It's great that bestbuy is offering in store pickup on many of the coming soon titles--I wish they did this for everything.

For those on the fence, you could always order now to lock in the price and cancel later or pickup and return if you change your mind.

I would recommend placing separate orders if you are also buying things with a second promo (like the samantha who/greys buy 2 save $10)--I have found that sometimes if you return something from an order containing a package discount, they sometimes try to negate your package discount--even if the item being returned was not part of the deal.

Wow, didn't know this went as far ahead as October.

I'm debating Simpsons 11 now or wait - I just wonder if any stores will have any promos the day it comes out.

I don't think any have in the past.. at least I don't think so. $30 is a steal.

Okay, I'm curious enough to delurk for the first and likely last time, but I can't help wondering- pre-orders seem to be the most popular option for this sale so far. It's a pre-order tempting me, actually, and it does show up as being on sale. But the teeny graphic on the BB site clearly says "excludes pre-orders and new releases." So is it just a glitch? Or are only pre-orders for a certain degree of "pre" counted? Am I going to get dinged for the extra bucks when I get the bill?

I think it's a glitch that preorders are also on sale.
I wouldn't worry about them charging you more--they can't charge you more than what is on your order confirmation (that would be illegal). If they try to do this, you can always dispute with credit card.

no, just enjoy it. A similar glitch happened late last year when they had all HBO DVD's 50% off - you could preorder upcoming HBO sets at 50% as well even though it said "excludes pre-orders".

It may or may not be a glitch about the pre-order deal but look at it this way. These prices are for the most part very good and they at least have a pretty good chance of predicting their future revenue flow. Who knows? They may say this is working great and do it in the future.

Pridesticks06. Yes, you don't have the change for How I Met S3 but you won't be paying for it until it comes out and if you use a BB credit card you get 90 days to pay it off.

One other thing. I earned my rewardzone points for a pre-order 30 days AFTER the order date, NOT 30 days after I picked em up.

I was looking to get the Complete Series as cheap as I can so it looks like Warner is the best option if I can find this 30% off code mentioned above. Can anyone point me to it?

kefrank - have you had bad experiences with ordering for Warner or were you just saying Amazon has it cheap as well? Just checking

Thanks so much!

Warner thread: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=534151

There were some problems with Warner not shipping items last year. However, I tried them again and I seem to be getting my preorder items right around release day, even with their free shipping.
