I tend to stick to Sony DVD+R.
DigitalFAQ maintains a pretty good list
http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
(probably more information than you ever wanted to know)
They also recommend some online vendors:
http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/...s/buymedia.htm
but I usually just look at the ads in the Sunday paper and see who has a deal running. Bestbuy had 100 Sony's for 22.99 this week, but were sold out when I got there.

I've used several different brands, but for a while now I've used Verbatim exclsuively and been quite happy with them.
Most computer forums I've read recommend Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Verbatims seem to be a little easier to get inexpensively than high-grade TY so I go with those.

I would go here, good shipping times and pricing. Taiyo Yuden are by far the best.
