The Game - L.A.X. (08/26/08)

L.A.X. is due out on the 26th, but it's out there if you want to listen to it. Good stuff so far. Guest spots from Nas, Ice Cube, Ludacris, Common, Raekwon, Lil' Wayne, & Travis Barker.

So far, my favs are Angel feat. Common, Game's Pain feat. Keyshia Cole, and Dope Boys with Travis Barker.

I really enjoyed his first 2 albums, and will pick this up on release date. Anybody ever give his (countless) mix tapes a chance? Just wondering if any were worth picking up.

Like most rap mixtapes - it's so hit or miss. And of course, some of the better stuff eventually made it to an album or at least to the radio, so tapes that seemed great at the time are downgraded a little now because you've probably already heard some of the best stuff. He was really on top of things while the fight with 50 was at its peak, though. My favorites are "You Know What It Is Vol 3" (with "300 bars"), "Doctor's Advocate's Leftovers" and "To Live and Die in L.A." (some of which made it on to L.A.X.)

Anyway, so far so good with the first few listens of L.A.X. It kind of drags a little in the middle, but picks up nicely at the end, a track or two before Dope Boys.

Why isn't he sitting on a tire this time?
